(Clearwisdom.net) I am a 50-year-old civil servant. I would like to report to Master and share my experience of cultivation and assisting Master in the Fa-rectification.
On doing the three things, I have come to realize that we must study the Fa diligently in accordance with Master's requirements. As long as we study the Fa with a peaceful mind and truly understand the principles, we will be full of righteous thoughts.
Master said,
“If you are a true practitioner, our Falun will safeguard you. I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe.” (Zhuan Falun).
If the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were not allowed to exist, it would take only a moment for it to dissolve. The CCP remains so that Dafa practitioners can cultivate and improve their levels, and it provides an opportunity for practitioners to build up mighty virtue. When we understand the principles of these arrangements, we will be able to remove the attachment of fear, and our righteous thoughts will grow stronger and stronger. Once we understand the principles, we should conform to the requirements of the Fa and save sentient beings with rational thinking and actions, using wisdom and compassion. This way we can save sentient beings more efficiently and safely.
Clarifying the Truth to My Family
At the beginning of 2007, I began walking the path of Fa-rectification with the help of my fellow practitioners. Before that, I just studied the Fa and practiced the exercises at home. After I understood the role we must play as practitioners during this sacred period, I firmly grasped every moment to study Master's recent lectures and keep up with the pace of Fa-rectification. I immediately started to do the three things and set up a material production site at home. I then began distributing truth-clarification materials and to personally clarify the truth to people, helping them to quit the CCP. I also wrote truth-clarification messages on paper money and other appropriate materials. Later, I participated in the group Fa study.
Regarding face-to-face truth clarification, I started doing this within my family. Some quit the CCP gladly, some were reluctant, some quit only after I spoke with them two or three times. One of my relatives is a retired Party head of the Highway Bureau; another relative is a retired Party head of an elementary school. Both of them feel the CCP is too corrupt to be saved. They felt ashamed of being members of the CCP. When I clarified the truth and asked them to quit the CCP, they agreed. One of them said, “Yes, I wanted to withdraw from it long ago but just didn’t know how. Thanks for helping me quit the CCP.”
My grandmother is over 95 years old, and she is in very good health, with good eyesight and hearing and no white hair. When I gave her a copy of Minghui Weekly, she read it aloud. When I asked her if she wanted a Dafa bookmark, she said yes, adding, “I will keep it in a safe place so that I can take a look at it anytime I want.” I could tell that her happiness was truly from the bottom of her heart after understanding the truth about Falun Dafa.
In 2008, I went to visit my aunt, a retired Party head of a large shopping mall, who was 79 years old at the time. She had read all the Dafa books and believed that Dafa was good. When I asked her to quit the CCP, she said, “So many years have passed, there is no point in my quitting now as I haven’t done anything bad. If I am judged at my death, [the gods] will consider my good nature.” I left her home around noon. Before 3 p.m., she called me and begged, “Please help me quit the CCP!” I said that I would. She explained, “After you left, I took a nap and had a dream. There was an old man who looked like a Taoist who appeared in front of me and told me to quit the CCP.” Thus, she called me immediately after she woke up. I was very happy and touched. I understood: On the surface, I am doing things, but, in fact, it is Master who is saving sentient beings.
My nephew is a junior high school student. I told him to quit the CCP's Youth League and clarified the truth to him. He gladly said, “I'll quit.” Later, he told me that he saw some words on the back of some paper money to persuade people to quit the CCP and that his classmates cherish such bills and save them. I was very happy for them to have understood the truth and be saved.
In August, my relative’s family in Heilongjiang Province were visiting a town within two hours' driving distance from my home. I arranged to meet them in a small town to clarify the truth. It rained heavily during those few days. The highway was closed due to the landslides. I was worried about the trip, which was my human mindset. After they had arrived, the weather improved and the road reopened, and I was able to arrive and meet them before they left. I clarified the truth to them and brought them the Shen Yun DVDs and Dafa bookmarks. Of the seven people in this family, only one old man hadn't joined any CCP-affiliated organizations. One of them had already quit the CCP in her hometown with the help of a fellow practitioner. The other five also decided to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations before they boarded the train home. Once again, I witnessed the wonderfulness of Dafa.
Clarifying the Truth at Work
I work in a government agency. Due to the nature of my work, I often meet consultants and others who come to do business in my workplace. I treat them with compassion and kindness, work closely with them with due diligence and respect, and never quibble or waste time. I am very considerate and treat everyone equally, no matter his or her position. The ways in which I treat others has helped to gain their trust and has laid a solid foundation for truth clarification and saving them. Over two years, I have helped over 30 people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
I had a very heavy attachment of fear when I first started to clarify the truth at work. I felt that it was difficult and dangerous to clarify the truth as a civil servant. However, through diligent Fa study, I gradually removed these human notions. “Civil servant” is only a title in everyday society, while my most important position is as a Dafa practitioner. It is my mission to save sentient beings. My work environment is also an environment for my cultivation and truth clarification. I clarify the truth differently for different people. Below are a few examples:
A retired woman in her 70s was once a top manager in a business unit. Her husband passed away a few years ago. She came to talk to me because she was having trouble with her niece. I comforted her patiently and told her that she could come to me anytime she needed help. She was very happy to have my support. She came to see me several times. Sometimes she just wanted to chat, so I clarified the truth to her. She quit the CCP herself and on behalf of her late husband.
A lady in her 40s came to me for business. I welcomed her and tried my best to help her feel as relaxed as possible. After a while, she began to trust me and confide in me. She told me that she had invested in Yilishen Tianxi Group (a Chinese company exposed as a Ponzi scheme in 2007) and lost hundreds of thousands of yuan—all her savings. She was very angry. I told her to take it lightly and also clarified the truth to her. She listened carefully. She said, “Many other people told me about this, but I didn’t believe it. Now I believe what you told me today. I want to quite the CCP and its affiliated organizations.” A life was saved through practitioners’ joint efforts.
In April, a disheveled lady in her 50s came into my office with faltering footsteps. She was wearing a dark red, down coat with a knit hat under her hood. She used a piece of cardboard to cover her face. She looked quite strange to me, but I felt very calm and offered her a seat. She was a bit embarrassed and said, “Excuse me, I covered my face because I was afraid that your window would be open and I am afraid of the cold air.” Then she told me, “I felt very happy when I walked into your office and I am very glad to meet you. I am here to report something, but I will not have any regrets even if I cannot get the results I want.” I immediately realized that she was there to be saved. She had developed postpartum depression after giving birth, which never fully went away. Although her problem was not within the scope of my expertise, in order to have time to clarify the truth to her and considering that it was not very easy for her to get around, I volunteered to help her. She was very happy and thanked me again and again. I told her that it was destiny for us to meet. I said, “You have suffered for many years, but from now on you will live with a better understanding of life. Now Falun Dafa is spreading all around the world. You will be blessed if you believe that Falun Dafa is good and believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Now you understand that the CCP is corrupt and will be eliminated. Please give up your membership in the Party and have a peaceful future.” She gladly agreed to quit the CCP.
One day, a woman in her 40s from Heilongjiang Province came to my office and told me about the troubles in her life. She had divorced her husband in her 20s and left a two-year-old child with him. She then went to Liaoning Province to work as a manual laborer and had a baby with another man. The man’s wife and brother-in-law beat her and threatened to kill her, so she had to take her child to another city. To survive, she married an older man in his 60s, but after over ten years of marriage, her husband suffered a stroke and his children were worried that she would get some of their inheritance if he died, so they asked her to divorce him. She was left in poverty, with no money to treat her child, who was very sick. Some time later she also experienced symptoms of a stroke. I understood that this poor woman had committed some bad deeds and also brought endless pain to herself due to lack of virtue, but I didn’t want to give up on her. I gave her some money to help ease her discomfort and help her child get medical care. She was deeply moved. I told her that what I did could only help her solve some small problems. I asked if she had ever heard about Falun Dafa and then explained the facts to her. I said, “Recite 'Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good!' and you'll have blessings in the future.” She agreed and also quit the CCP. After a while, she came to see me again. Her health had improved significantly. Later, she also brought her teenage child, who also quit the CCP after understanding the truth.
A woman in her 50s often comes to our workplace to buy recycling waste to re-sell. She often fooled with her scale to gain more profit, so everyone mistrusted her. One day, she came to my office to collect used newspaper. I didn’t want to sell it to her, but she didn’t want to leave and asked again, “Please sell it to me. My life is very difficult. I am divorced and raise my daughter by myself. My daughter is sick and has been unable to work after graduating from college.” I thought that she might have come to be saved since she did not want to leave. So I said, “I can sell the used newspaper to you, but you have to make sure that your scale is accurate. We are not short of this little money. The key is to have a fair business. We should have good virtue as human beings.” I continued, “The old saying is right: 'Fortune is acquired with virtue.' So if you want to have fortune, you need to have virtue. If you have virtue, then you'll have fortune. Since times are tough for you, I can sell you the used newspaper. But if you fool with your scale, then you'll lose your fortune and virtue.” She said, “I understand what you said. I will not adjust my scale in my favor anymore.” I replied, “Since you believe what I said, I'll also tell you that the universe is rooted in the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. Falun Dafa teaches people to follow these principles. If you believe in these universal principles, you will be blessed.” She again said that she understood and also agreed to quit the CCP. Before she left, I asked her to tell her daughter to also quit the CCP and believe that Falun Dafa is good.
I have rotated through several departments during these past few years. Whatever department I work in, I clarify the truth with rationality and wisdom and help people quite the CCP. Most of my work colleagues have quit the CCP. My working environment has improved as a result of doing the three things well and having stronger righteous thoughts.
