(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Jia Zhijun, a 46-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, was persecuted to the point of disability by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police. His right shoulder and elbow are crippled and he cannot raise them. The police went to his home day and night to threaten and harass his family. They ransacked his home and shattered his windows. The harassment led to frequent relapses of heart disease for Mr. Jia's wife. The Jias were compelled to leave their home and have since remained homeless.
Mr. Jia was an employee at the Baishan Forestry Center in Jinshantun District, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, and benefited from the practice tremendously. Mr. Jia and his family have been frequently persecuted since the CCP launched its persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999.
In May 2002, Mr. Jia's 66-year-old mother Yang Huiqin was illegally arrested at the Jinshantun District Bus Station by police. She was sent to a forced labor camp for a term of three years. She endured all kinds of torture at the Harbin Women's Drug Rehabilitation and Forced Labor Camp.
At the same time, Mr. Jia posted information about the facts of the persecution to expose the crimes of the CCP. He was arrested by Si Zhiguang and Wang Yuwen from the Baishan Neighborhood Section of the Fenggou Police Station. Mr. Jia was detained for 15 days and made to pay 800 yuan. After his release, the police often went to his home to harass him.
In July 2002, Mr. Jia was riding his motorcycle on the street. Si Zhiguang and Ji Cheng forcibly took him into custody at the Fenggou Police Station. Min Changchun, chief of the Fenggou Police Station, interrogated him for an afternoon and forced him to semi-squat with both arms raised. Policeman Wang Shoumin used mop handles to beat his hands. Min Changchun beat him with a bamboo brush handle.
Mr. Jia was then transferred to the police department, where he was interrogated and tortured for two days and nights on the third floor. The policemen involved in torturing him included Qi You, Kang Kai from the political security office, along with Wang Shoumin, and Ji Cheng from the criminal police team. Wang and Ji knew many types of torture methods using ropes.
The torture Mr. Jia was subjected to included:

Beating on the back with a bamboo brush handle. This torture gives internal organs unbearable shocks.

Ropes were used to constrict the flesh; scars normally do not disappear for several years.

The police exerted all their strength to step on Mr. Jia's hands after they were handcuffed. The wrist can be broken if it is stepped on in such a way.

The police tied his hands with his feet (Tiger Bench), and his body was coerced into a boat shape. His head and legs constantly moved along with his breathing, therefore putting him in pain.

He was forced to sleep in an iron chair. The police tied both his hands behind his back, hung him up by his hands and beat him. It is said that if such torture lasts one to two minutes, it will be very painful and hard to endure. They took him down, hung him up again and took him down again. They tortured him like this repeatedly.

The next morning, the police wanted to torture Mr. Jia with more ropes. Mr. Jia protested and jumped from the third floor of the police department building to escape. His right arm was broken. He received bone fracture treatments from the Yichun City Hospital with two steel plates and 13 nails. The next day, he was transferred to the Jinshantun District Detention Center. Mr. Jia's arm was severely swollen. His elbow joint was stiff and he could not raise it. Mr. Jia started protesting with a hunger strike. After 10 days, he was on the brink of death. Doctor Qin Hanwei at the detention center extorted 3,000 yuan from Mr. Jia's wife and released him for “medical treatment.” Mrs. Jia helped him to leave the prison by carrying him on her back.
Scars left on Mr. Jia's body. The picture was taken on December 25, 2004.
The X-Ray picture taken by the doctor on March 10, 2003 showed bone fractures.
Upon returning home, Mr. Jia studied the Fa and did the Falun Gong exercises. He largely recovered from all his injuries. However, he still couldn't raise or turn his right arm. Si Zhiguang and Baishan, along with CCP members Zhao Yuwen and Xu Hongye, duped Mr. Jia into attending the CCP school brainwashing session. After two months, Mr. Jia managed to get out and started his homeless days with his wife. The police are still trying to learn Mr. Jia's whereabouts.
Even to this day, Mr. Jia cannot raise or turn his right arm. When washing his face, he can only use his left hand.
