(Clearwisdom.net) Having reflected upon the persecution that recently occurred in our local area, I would like to share with fellow practitioners what we have been doing to walk our path even better towards assisting Master in Fa-rectification.
1. Clarifying the Truth and Exposing the Persecution
We live in a small township in Northeastern China. At the beginning of this year, a few practitioners were illegally detained by police while clarifying the truth to people. At first, the evildoers sentenced the practitioners to forced labor. Some of the practitioners’ relatives thought that if they appealed, the practitioners would suffer even worse persecution; so they were not very active when it came to the issue of appealing the sentence. The practitioners involved in the rescue work told those relatives that what those practitioners did was for the sake of others, that it was the police who were breaching the law and committing crimes, and that it was our legal right to appeal the unlawful sentence.
When it came to hiring lawyers, local practitioners paid for everything. Their sincerity and unselfish efforts touched the hearts of those relatives. They said, “You are treating your fellow practitioners like family. We’ll listen to what you say in the rescue work.”
2. Letting Go of Self, Rectifying Our Own Selves, and Improving as One Body
It is extremely important to continue rectifying ourselves and to cooperate as one body in our resisting the persecution. We did not do well in this regard at the beginning, and we encountered much interference. Through Fa-study, we were able to look inward and cultivate ourselves when conflicts occurred, and then everything changed for the better. One practitioner was living a very difficult life and had to make a living by doing odd jobs. When the court reviewed the cases, it happened to be during the season for transplanting rice seedlings, and wages were very high for temporary workers. However, she gave up the job opportunity when she was needed to help with the appeal case. Relatives of the practitioners under persecution spoke highly of her unselfish action. Other practitioners contributed money towards hiring lawyers and cooperated with the whole body in resisting the persecution, including sending forth righteous thoughts, making phone calls, writing letters, and so on. Good cooperation is the foundation for success, and it can eliminate the evil in other dimensions. What manifested in this world is that the police did not dare to look us in the eye, and the head of the 610 Office had to turn off his mobile phone to avoid calls from Dafa practitioners.
If we fail to walk our path righteously, we will allow the evil to have a breathing spell and allow them the opportunity to do evil. For example, in order to save money and time, we signed a power of attorney on behalf of practitioners’ relatives and put our thumbprint on the document. However, after we sent the document for the case review, the evil beings saw that we were not being truthful and returned the document, saying that “the power of attorney is not valid unless the victim signs the document in person.” Some fellow practitioners felt it was unfair and complained, “They are just deliberately making things difficult for us.” We had a discussion on the issue: As cultivators, we must behave according to the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and rectify all our improper words and actions so that we can pass on a righteous cultivation way to future generations.
3. Exposing the Evil with Facts, Awakening People, and Deterring the Evil
We resisted the persecution by taking legal action, and we exposed the evil in our local area to stop the persecution. This is also an effective way to save sentient beings. We cooperated in many ways, such as writing complaints, making truth-clarification calls, and distributing relevant materials with information about the criminal actions of those evildoers so that their family members and friends could all become aware of what they are doing. This helps to stop the persecution, and it may even save the evildoer.
Qian Gang, the leader of the Domestic Security Brigade in Baoqing County, illegally detained a female Dafa practitioner. While he was dragging her into a car, the practitioner’s 11-year-old daughter pulled at him to stop him from taking her Mom away. Qian Gang pulled the little girl’s hair so hard that some of her hair came out. A fellow practitioner wrote this into a letter and sent it to Qian Gang’s daughter in high school. When his daughter received the letter, she asked her father if what was written in the letter was true. Qian Gang did not dare to give a straight answer. His daughter said to him, “Dad, I used to respect you a lot, but I never expected that you could do such a wicked thing to a little girl! How will my classmates view me? How can I conduct myself at school?”
There is a man called Wang Ying in Songfeng Township, Acheng District of Harbin. When practitioners exposed his evildoing, they also included his photo and birthday. When his father read the materials, he said, “We must not offend these cultivators. They could even find out the exact date of my son’s birthday.” This is an example of the good effect we have achieved by exposing the evildoers in detail.
