Solemn Declaration
After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, I was ordered by the village mayor and township police to hand over my Falun Dafa books. They also demanded that I admit wrongdoing and promise to quit practicing cultivation. Because of my attachment to fear and a lack of clear understanding on the “Fa” principles, I gave them one Dafa book and burned several after they left, even though I had hidden others. It was a huge sin. I now regret that I did not resist the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) pressure and signed a guarantee statement attesting that I would not practice Falun Gong. After looking inwards, I realized it was superficial, that what I did was due to my attachment to fear. Actually, it was attributable to my lack of genuine belief in Master and the Fa. I am really not worthy of being saved by merciful Master. I solemnly declare: “Everything I have done [against Dafa] is null and void. I will do the three things well to make up for the mistakes I made. I'll steadfastly follow Master's Fa-rectification path to save more sentient beings and strive to be a diligent Dafa disciple.”

I yielded to family pressure and signed a statement after the 1999 persecution against Falun Gong began, attesting that I would not appeal or participate in gatherings. I also gave in when the guards tortured me during my detention. I not only put my fingerprints on the “transformation” material and banner, but I also slandered Master and Dafa. Not only that, I praised the wicked Party and saluted its flag. I solemnly declare: “All I have done that was not in accordance with Dafa principles is null and void. I'll follow Master and cultivate myself to the end.”
