(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioners in our city are working very hard to save sentient beings. In 2001, I introduced a fellow practitioner to our city. She and I worked very well together and we never had any conflicts. We distributed materials to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa in three different towns on the outskirts of our city. Every time we went out, we had to walk more than 20 miles. We would walk through every corner of the town and distribute the latest truth-clarification materials. Sometimes we would walk 12 hours without taking a break.
There is another fellow practitioner who also cooperated very well with me in doing Dafa work. In 2007, that fellow practitioner fell down the stairs and broke her leg. When I heard about it, I was very worried and sent forth righteous thoughts every day. Then I suddenly had a thought: “Master can let a person who was paralyzed for several years stand up. As a Dafa practitioner, I should follow what Master has taught us to help her stand up.” I asked Master in my heart to let her recover quickly. Then I called that fellow practitioner and told her that I was very busy and needed her help. She said: “I have to walk on crutches. How can I come to see you now?” I said, “Please invite two other practitioners and come to my place even though you have to use crutches.” She came, looking unhappy. I told her: “This time you came with crutches. Next time, you will not need to use crutches.” Less than two weeks later she came over again, walking normally.
Another fellow practitioner has also helped me with Dafa work. After the Chinese communist regime began to persecute Falun Gong, she helped many new practitioners obtain the Fa. Her husband is the deputy director of a printing factory in our city. When the persecution first began, he went along with it. If some practitioners went to their home, he would report them to the authorities. He did not want his wife to do the exercises or study the Fa. If he saw her doing that, he would beat her. Eventually, this fellow practitioner's illness relapsed and she was sent to the hospital. After extended medical treatment, there was still no improvement. The couple spent all their money and still her health did not improve. She then told her husband that if she practiced Falun Gong, her health would return to normal. Her husband told her that he would also practice Falun Gong if she became healthy again. After he said that, she felt better. The next day, she returned home from the hospital and her illness became less severe. She told her husband, “You promised me that if I recovered after practicing Falun Gong, you would practice with me.” Her husband began to learn the practice and eventually became a true practitioner. If someone persecuted practitioners in his factory, he would stand up to protect them.
At one point, this man's mother became ill. His mother was a retiree from a bank and her monthly pension was over two thousand yuan. She was sent to the hospital for medical treatment. Spring Festival time was approaching and they had spent several tens of thousands of yuan on treatment, but she still did not have any obvious improvement.. He called his wife and discussed what they should do. The wife said: “Let's take Mom back home and teach her to practice Falun Gong, and she will be healthy again.” After his mother recited “Falun Dafa is good!” at the hospital, she was able to eat some food. They took her home and she has now recovered. This made him even more active in safeguarding Dafa. Once I went to their home to give them a poster of the Falun emblem. The wife dared not hang it up, but he said, “Why not?” Then they hung up the Falun emblem in the center of their living room.
Another fellow practitioner is a retired Chinese language teacher from a city high school. She distributed nearly three thousand copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, along with other truth-clarifying materials. She mainly distributed these materials during the day time. Nobody reported her no matter what kind of places she visited, including the residential community and financial management tax offices. Once she went directly to the police station. At that time there was nobody in the offices. When she went to the last office, a police officer came out and shouted, “What are you doing here?” She replied, “I came here to save you.” That officer said, “How are you going to save us?” She replied, “I want you to learn the truth about Falun Dafa.” Then she was arrested. A police official said: “We all know that you were distributing the Nine Commentaries. Now you dare to even come to our office.” She was detained in an office, so she sent forth righteous thoughts. An officer commented that she continued practicing even though she was in the police station. In the afternoon, she was released without being given a reason.
That made some police officers uneasy. They decided to go to her home and ransack it. They wanted to get some “evidence” to put her in jail. Over a dozen police officers went to her home. She asked them not to touch Master's portrait or the Falun emblem. They searched everywhere and found an X-ray. The police asked her son what kind of illness his mother had. He replied, “Cancer.” It was Master who arranged that to help her avoid being sent to jail. Now four years have passed, and that Chinese language teacher is still living a healthy life. The police left after finding out all of this.
Another fellow practitioner's son is in charge of the city's court. Ever since Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted, he has been protecting his mother and does not allow police to harass her. He says his mother became healthy because of practicing Falun Gong. Before practicing Falun Gong, she had all kinds of illnesses, but now she is very healthy. If police caused his mother to become ill again, he threatened to send her to their homes.
Before the persecution, over one hundred people practiced Falun Gong openly in our city. After the persecution began, the majority of them stayed home and would not come out to do the exercises. Now, after truth clarification by those practitioners who continued with the practice, about 80 percent of these people have come back to practice again. Practitioners in this city also did very well in persuading people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
A retired Chinese medicine pharmacist is also our fellow practitioner. After retiring, she was hired by a private pharmacy. Police repeatedly went to the store to harass her. The boss of the store became annoyed and told the police: “She is an employee I hired. Why do you always come here to make trouble? She is a such good person. Why do you always come here and pressure her? If she violated a law or committed some crime, I would turn her in myself. What you want is money.” After that, nobody came to harass her again.
Another practitioner, in her 70s, often goes to pick up trash in our city and uses this as the opportunity to distribute a lot of truth-clarification materials. One of the workers she met asked: “Why don't you sell these materials for recycling?” She said, “They are used to save people and should not be thrown away. Otherwise one would suffer karmic retribution. I have children and grandchildren. Do you think it is worth that risk to make a little money?” The worker replied, “You are doing a very good deed by being responsible to younger generations.”
When the persecution first began, the township's secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee was very active in detaining practitioners and sent them to forced labor camps. Later, his child had leukemia and became blind. Practitioners visited him, clarified the truth, and awakened his conscience. He listened, and each day his whole family recited, “Falun Dafa is good!” Later his son recovered from his illness and could see again. His whole family withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Another township secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee and director of the police station told practitioners, “You can do anything you want to clarify the facts about Falun Gong.” About 80 percent of the people in our town have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. It is really happy news. Once, a tornado hit our area. The crops in our town were all safe, but the crops in the neighboring towns were greatly damaged. People in the neighboring towns asked, “What kind of Bodhisattva are you worshiping?” We replied, “We recited 'Falun Dafa is good!'”
A college student obtained the Fa in another town and then went back to his hometown. He called on people there to join him in practicing Falun Gong. Once there was a fire in these practitioners' field. The fire only went around the crops, so their crops were not damaged. Other villagers thought it was strange and asked, “Why didn't the fire burn your crops?” Practitioners clarified the truth to them. Later almost every villager started to practice Falun Gong.
A doctor and a senior teacher brought practitioners to visit a mountain village. A female fellow practitioner got lost during the visit. The doctor and the teacher were very anxious while waiting for her. They shouted, “Wherever you are right now, we are waiting for you right here. Please come and find us quickly!” That female fellow practitioner miraculously heard their voices and found them.
In our city, we have also engaged in persuading people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. A retired doctor stepped out and persuaded people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations; people listened to what she said. One day I asked her, “Have you persuaded two thousand people to withdraw?” She replied, “I've persuaded more than that.” Another retired primary school teacher has been persuading people to withdraw from the Party and its affiliated organizations every day; she already persuaded over one thousand people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Another practitioner is a female cadre. She has persuaded over one thousand people to quit the CCP, including high-ranking officials at city level and lower-ranking cadres at the village level. Her husband is a retired municipal cadre. She went to her husband's bureau to persuade people to quit the CCP. The first time she went there, some people said they would think about it. She subsequently returned and further explained the facts to them. Eventually, all of the people in that bureau agreed to quit the CCP. She also told them to recite “Falun Dafa is good!” from their hearts. Not long after that, an electrical fire occurred in that bureau. The office door was sealed, so people could not get out. They shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” The electrical fire immediately went out, as if a switch was turned off.
During the 2008 Olympic Games, police told the husband of this practitioner to tell his wife not to go out to clarify the facts about Falun Gong. He replied: “You should not play this game with me. If I did not recite 'Falun Dafa is good!' I would already be dead.”
Once I tried to persuade the accountant of our town's veterinary clinic to quit the CCP. Since we are friends, she felt uneasy not agreeing to it. I noticed her embarrassed look and told her that she could think it over. Then I went home. One or two weeks later, she gave me a list of over 30 people who she said had agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I asked her how she had figured out to do that. She said it was from watching TV, which I guessed to mean watching programs from Taiwan that reported truthful information on the topic. I told her that it would be valid only if these people truly agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. She said, “I will persuade all of these people to quit the CCP.”
I persuaded many senior Party members to quit the CCP in our town. Then these people helped persuade many other people to quit, too.
A young practitioner who prepares truth-clarification materials also has to take care of his job in ordinary society. In the meantime, he has also persuaded over one thousand people to quit the CCP through the Internet.
We have been doing a very good job in our city saving sentient beings. The posters we put out such as “Heaven will eliminate the CCP” have not been removed. Although some of the words became blurry due to rain, when we posted newer posters on the same spot, we could tell that the old ones had not been torn off. Once a fellow practitioner from the provincial capital came to our place to avoid being arrested. I suggested that she go with me to put up more posters while she was in our city. She said: “I did not fully believe when you told me that your posters have not been torn away. Now I see that it is true.” I told her that the majority of the sentient beings here have been saved. That's why we have good weather, good crop harvest, and people here look happy, too!
I want to say from the bottom of my heart: Cherish this opportunity. We must spend more time studying the Fa and do the three things well. People in the future will admire our group of people who have such good fortune to be Dafa practitioners in this Fa-rectification period – just like we admire those practitioners who were lucky enough to listen to Master's lectures in person. We are so lucky that we are able to be in this world with our Master. We hope Master can return to China sooner. We want to listen to Master's teachings in person, too.
Master's gift to us can hardly be fully expressed on paper. It was our Master who has been guiding us and helping us to get to this stage of Fa-rectification. The tide ebbs, and what remains is gold. I am just an ordinary disciple among these practitioners. The stories I mentioned in this article are what have happened around me. There is so much more that I would never be able to tell it all.
