(Clearwisdom.net) Ever since the Chinese Communist Party and its then leader Jiang Zemin started the nationwide persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Houston practitioners have staged a protest to remember that day each year in front of the Chinese Consulate. On the night of July 19, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners again gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to send forth righteous thoughts, do the Falun Gong exercises, and hold a candlelight vigil to commemorate fellow practitioners who have died in the 12-year-long persecution.
