(Clearwisdom.net) Since the beginning of the summer, agents from our area's local 610 Office have been talking about setting up a brainwashing center. The 610 agents coerced local police officers and community officials to conduct surveys in an investigative attempt to arrest Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale.
However, some of these police officers and community officials already know the facts about Falun Dafa and that people who practice Falun Gong are good people. Thus they have been notifying practitioners in secret.
A community director went to the home of a practitioner and said, “Don’t open the door for anyone in the next little while, even if it is me knocking.” Another community official told a practitioner to not be home on certain dates. A village official told a practitioner’s family member, “Tell so-and-so from your family to go to a relative’s place on these days.” An officer from the Domestic Security Division even told a relative of his who practices Falun Gong to come and stay in his home on certain days for protection. (This officer actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong in the past, but he later understood the truth.)
When the days came and the officials went to arrest the practitioners, most practitioners did not open their doors for them. Some practitioners did, but told them in a dignified manner, “We did not break any law, and we will not go with you.” For those officials who didn’t want to follow through so as to not commit a bad deed, they just came up with some excuses and left. As the result, the attempt for large scale arrests failed.
A few days ago, I met a police officer from a local detention center while telling people the facts about Falun Gong on the street. About two years ago, I had helped him and his family to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. When he saw me, he told me to be careful and asked if I had the book on me. I thought he was asking for truth-clarifying materials, so I gave him a small booklet. When he saw that I still had some in my bag, he asked for another one with different content. He told me that he wanted to read Dafa books and asked if I could help him. When we parted, he repeatedly told me to be careful. This shows that things have changed greatly from before, when I first met this police officer after being illegally detained.
The compassion and forbearance of Falun Gong practitioners is in stark contrast with the evil and cruelty of the persecutors. This has allowed these officials to distinguish clearly between good and evil, and the righteous from the wicked. Falun Gong practitioners have continuously clarified the facts to them, and they are really starting to understand the truth now.
