Falun Dafa Gave Me a Second Life

(Clearwisdom.net) I am 59 years old and I started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. Soon after I began the practice, Teacher purified my body and cured all of my diseases. Falun Dafa has given me a second life.

My Misfortunes

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to cultivate. After I got married, I often thought about cultivating with two friends in the village. Every night, we recited Buddhist scriptures. We didn't want the wealth of this human world. However, I suddenly encountered misfortune when I was 38 years old. My husband was diagnosed with esophagus cancer. He was treated in a large hospital in Jinzhou City. Our financial situation was bad to begin with, but after his treatment, we were deeply in debt. On top of that, he passed away and left behind three young children. It was such a difficult situation for me at that time!

Although my brothers helped me, the mental suffering and physical labor caused my health to deteriorate. I suffered with a duodenal ulcer, which caused pain all over my body when I tried to move after getting up in the morning. The most serious condition I had was cirrhosis of the liver. I had tried many different treatments, but none were effective. I tried to live in this world for my children. I didn't want to cry in front of people. Rather, I tried to control myself, fearing that other people and my children would see me cry.

I knew that my disease was getting worse daily and I was very afraid that my children would be left without parents. I was so heartbroken that I said to them one day, “My children, grow up quickly. Even if you beg for food, as long as you can live, I will be at ease.” Both children cried and said, “Mother, please don't say that. When we grow up, we can make money so that you can get treatment.” I controlled my emotions and comforted them, “Don't cry. I will be all right.”

My Good Fortune

At a time when I was desperate and miserable, my cousin gave me the Falun Dafa lecture tapes recorded in Jinan, and I loved listening to them. All the questions I had were answered! However, I didn't realize that Falun Dafa could cure my diseases. Soon after I started practicing the exercises, all of my diseases disappeared. I felt truly light, without any illnesses, and I became very energetic. I also found the true Buddha Fa that I had been searching for all these years.

The diseases that had tortured me for years were cured. I could not control my tears. I was so happy that I just wanted to shout, so that the people of the world could hear me say, “Falun Dafa is good!”

After the Chinese Communist Party started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the party secretary of our local village government came to my home and asked me to stop practicing Falun Gong. He even repeated the propaganda used by the party to attack Falun Gong. I shed tears and said, “You are defaming Teacher and Dafa. I will certainly continue to practice. Dafa and Teacher have given me a second life. If I had not been saved by Teacher, I would have died long ago. I have practiced for so many years, and I have not harmed anyone. No one can move my heart. I am determined to practice.” Seeing that he could not change me, he left.

Because of my miraculous experience, my family and friends know that Falun Dafa is good. Many of them subsequently withdrew from the party organizations.
