(Clearwisdom.net) While my husband and I distributed truth-clarification materials on July 1, 2001, someone reported us to the police. I was detained for over a month, and my husband was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Our county is quite a distance from the closest city. People are isolated, and many of them do not know about Falun Gong. Our arrest and detention was big news in the county.

Both of us were county middle school teachers. My husband was a middle school deputy principal. We have a good reputation. Some people think that since the Communist Party is so corrupt, Falun Gong must be good. Others wondered that since my husband and I have such stable jobs with outstanding performance, how could we do such a thing as going against the Party? But no matter how divided they were, all agreed that they would help get us free. People went to the police department and petitioned for our release. Police later told us that many people showed up daily when we were detained. This incident has shocked everyone in the county; almost everyone knew that we practice Falun Gong.

After my release, I lost contact with other practitioners. My home had been searched many times, and there were no Dafa books left. I was initially so depressed. Looking at my twelve-year-old son, six-year old daughter and my elderly in-laws, I did not know what to do and how to survive. I was under great pressure, which was hard to deal with. The police would talk to me weekly. When the holidays approached, my supervisor or someone else would monitor me to prevent me from appealing.

I was suspended from teaching after I was released and designated to do odd jobs as a housekeeper at school. I did not mind and tried to do them well, quickly earned my reputation back and eliminated resistance among the teachers. After one semester, the school let me substitute for two classes where students were struggling to pass. Without help, they would have a hard time getting into high school.

I told my students what the true meaning of life is, about divine culture and traditional stories. I made an effort to carefully prepare each lesson. The kids liked me and really enjoyed my lectures. The school randomly selected several students from my class and asked them of their class experiences. One of them said, “Our new English teacher has a sense of humor and has extensive knowledge. We all like her."

Students in my class had raised their scores at the mid-term exams. The school leaders praised me at the parent-teacher conference in the school auditorium, with students' parents present from more than thirty classes. The parents had paid attention to my class grades. Students in those two classes I taught used to perform poorly, even catching the attention of the County Education Bureau. But lately the bureau was less worried, and some people even credited Dafa with the turnaround. I was in tears when I heard this.

Later, when police officers continued harassing me, school leaders blocked them. Attending the county Education Conference where the participants were school leaders from various schools in the county, my school principal praised me once again. Someone said, “From this, I can tell that Falun Gong must be good!"

My mission is to offer more people salvation. After those students graduated from my classes with good grades, many others tried very hard to get into my classes. I know those youngsters had a sense of understanding. They are people to whom I should offer salvation. Master and Dafa give me wisdom. My classroom became a vehicle to rescue sentient beings. I taught those students based on historical stories, divine culture and cultivation stories, to awaken their wisdom. They would repeat with me, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

The middle school has a three-year education cycle. Because of my outstanding teaching achievements, I was frequently transferred to teach the classes that had the most trouble, sometimes switching every semester. By having exposure to lots of different students, I was able to offer more of them salvation. The students also often shared their experiences with their peers.

Recalling ten years of cultivation, I know that all of this was possible only because of Master’s compassion and care.
