(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Xihai was sentenced to one year of forced labor. He is now the Shandong No. 2 Forced Labor Camp in Zhangqiu City.
Guided by head of security of Yangjiazhuangzi Village Liu Xiwu, the head of Weifang City Domestic Security Division, Zhang Anbin, and four or five other officers, plus two officers from Junbukou Town Police Station, went to Mr. Liu Xihai's home in Yangjiazhuangzi Village, Junbukou Town, Weifang City, on the evening of April 19, 2011. They illegally searched Mr. Liu's home and then arrested him.
After Mr. Liu was arrested, his family went to the Weicheng District Police Department many times to ask them to release him, but the police department refused to do so. Later on, without informing his family, Mr. Liu was sentenced to forced labor for one year. Mr. Liu personally called his family and told them of his sentence on May 27, 2011.
Before Mr. Liu started practicing Falun Gong, he had many health problems that affected his lumbar area, neck, liver, spleen, and stomach. All of his problems disappeared after he practiced Falun Gong. He conducted himself according to the teachings of Falun Gong and became a good person welcomed by his neighbors and friends.
Since Jiang's regime began to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, knowing that he practiced Falun Gong, the police frequently harassed, fined, detained, and tortured him.
Mr. Liu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in September 2000. He was arrested, detained, and brainwashed for more than a month. In May 2001, the police ransacked his home and arrested him after confiscating his money and food. Later on, he was sentenced to four years of forced labor. His 70-year-old mother, 10-year-old son, and daughter were left on their own. Without any financial support, their lives were very difficult. Thanks to their goodhearted neighbors, they managed to barely get by. While Mr. Liu was serving his term, the police and government officials harassed his elderly mother many times. She suffered greatly mentally, became ill, and passed away on June 24, 2007.
Right now Mr. Liu is detained in Shandong No. 2 Forced Labor Camp. We hope that those who care about justice pay attention to this case.
