Making Use of Chinese Law vs. Depending on Chinese Law
(Clearwisdom.net) It is one thing to use Chinese law to reverse the false charges against Falun Gong practitioners, but it is another to depend on Chinese law.
Of course, China is ruled by Chinese law, but the current Chinese law was created to protect the interest of the ruling political party—the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), not the people.
This is something I feel ought to be shared with those fellow practitioners who face false charges for practicing Falun Gong and for sharing important facts about Falun Gong. We are trying to cite Chinese laws and regulations to reverse the false charges against these practitioners. We may use the Chinese law, but we must not validate it.
We must not depend too much on the Chinese law when we try to have the false charges reversed. On the surface, it is the defense attorney that cites Chinese laws and regulations to defend the falsely prosecuted practitioners, but in fact the attorney is cooperating with us to clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and about the persecution against Falun Gong, and to save the world’s people while rescuing our fellow practitioners from injustice.
On the other hand, using Chinese law to have false charges against the prosecuted Falun Gong practitioners dropped is just one of many projects. It is not a project that should involve everyone. It is important not to affect other projects. In my humble opinion, it would be better to involve only those practitioners with knowledge of the law. Naturally, we must help when a situation needs support.
