(Clearwisdom.net) I was previously employed in an international trade industry, where salaries were linked to the number of new businesses one could acquire. Since I was able to develop many new businesses, I always received the highest bonus. In 1993, I was even selected as the top employee in my company. Although I was successful in my career, I suffered from depression, high blood pressure and exhaustion. I became ill and suffered a lot. I was also weak and narrow-minded. I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1994. At that time my understanding of Falun Dafa was quite superficial, and I thought it was merely for healing and fitness.
As I improved my moral character and understanding through Dafa cultivation, my health improved as well. My face no longer had a gray and yellowish tint, but a healthy, rosy glow. I also became more open-minded and no longer competed for fame and profit. Before I started practicing Falun Dafa, I had a lot of reservations about sharing my business leads with colleagues due to my competitive mindset. After I started practicing, if colleagues wanted information about my projects, I followed Master’s instruction and sincerely helped them. I also refused bribes from others and told them about the righteous principles of Dafa. I also read Master's poems from Hong Yin to them. Many were very surprised to discover that some people in today's society still behaved according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
As a result of practicing Falun Dafa, my moral standards and physical health improved. I was also successful in all of my new businesses and continued to have the best performance in the company. I had a very good relationship with leaders and colleagues alike, and maintained a good reputation. When the Chinese Communist Party officials began to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners in 1999, none of my colleagues or leaders helped them. The police searched my offices twice, but they could not come up with any excuse to persecute me. I subsequently learned that my colleagues had told the police that I was a good person and made great contributions to the company. My colleagues' good attitude toward Dafa has helped them to secure a good future for themselves.
