(Clearwisdom.net) In recent years, having seen the contrast between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, people in mainland China are filled with praise for Taiwan. They believe that Taiwan is far better, both in terms of its economic development and its society of rule by law, as well as its continuation of traditional culture. Many of our friends who have been to Taiwan said, “It’s fortunate that heaven has kept this land of freedom so that we can see hope for China’s future.”

In recent years, more and more people in mainland China have been watching NTDTV. They ignore the pressure from the CCP and set up satellite dishes to watch and listen to the voice of truth about China and the outside world. Because media in mainland China are propaganda tools for the CCP, they are totally untrustworthy. For example, the CCTV’s daily “News Network” at 7:00 p.m. always follows the same pattern: 1) China's leaders are very busy, 2) People are very happy and content, 3) Things are chaotic overseas. CCTV has been deceiving and brainwashing the Chinese people this way, day in day out, and many people are long fed up with it.

Since NTDTV began its Chinese-language satellite broadcasts from New York, people no longer have to put up with the CCP’s lies, and many people in mainland China are happy to be able to hear the voice of truth coming from their TV sets.

However, recently there have been reports that Chunghwa Telecom, of which the Taiwanese government holds 350f the shares, has refused to renew its contract with NTDTV, giving the excuse that the bandwidth of the new satellite is insufficient. As viewers in mainland China, we are very disappointed with the Taiwanese government. We can see very clearly that the CCP has extended its tentacles into Taiwan and is attempting to stop the broadcast of truth. Some people in Taiwan have failed to see the true, ugly face of the CCP and have gone so far as to cooperate with the CCP in killing freedom of the press. This harms people in mainland China and steps on the face of freedom of the press in Taiwan. We hope that people from all walks of life in Taiwan will call upon Chunghwa Telecom to re-consider its inappropriate decision.

In recent years, the people in mainland China have come to greatly respect and admire the freedom and democracy enjoyed by those living in Taiwan. The image of Taiwan among mainlanders is no longer the ugly one distorted by the CCP, and Taiwan's status has been climbing getting higher and higher. We hereby hope that Taiwan will not let us down and will cherish their hard-fought freedom, which also sets a fine example for the mainland.
