(Clearwisdom.net) On the occasion of the 12th World Falun Dafa Day and the 19th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, Juan Carlos Bermudez, Mayor of the City of Doral, Florida, proclaimed the 13th day of May, 2011 as Falun Dafa Day.

Whereas, the City of Doral recognizes Falun Dafa as an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind and body that is based on ancient wisdom; improves energy circulation; and emphasizes the cultivation of character by following the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance; and
Whereas, since its initial introduction to the public in China in 1992, Falun Dafa is now practiced by over 100 million people in more than 60 countries; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa has helped to preserve human traditions such as honesty, courtesy, loyalty and unselfishness and has also helped numerous people turn away from drugs, alcohol, violence, and other bad habits, leading them to pursue more meaningful lives; and
Whereas, since 1995, when Falun Dafa was introduced in the United States, many Americans have come to embrace the exercise and teachings, and many workshops and classes have been offered at various community locations throughout the country; and
Whereas, May 13th, 2011 marked the 19th anniversary of Falun Dafa and the City of Doral is pleased to join in celebrating this distinct practice that encourages people around the world to improve their health, calm their minds, and deepen their understanding of life and humanity.
Now Therefore, I, Juan Carlos Bermudez, as Mayor of the City of Doral, Florida, do hereby proclaim the 13th day of May, 2011 as
“Falun Dafa Day”
In Observance Thereof, I encourage the citizens of the City of Doral to join in the celebration of those involved in this event for their dedication to our community and fellow man.
