Western Practitioner: Fa-rectification Closes In

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Westerner living in Woolgoolga, New South Wales in Australia. I have been a Dafa disciple for over 2 years. The more I study the Fa, the more I come to realize the true nature of our situation here as Dafa disciples. It is during these final stages of history that we have the opportunity to fully wake up from our delusions, by learning the Fa, and understanding our main purpose here in the human world. That purpose is to save people by giving them the same chance that was offered to us, the chance to know the Fa.

One single flyer was all it took to open my eyes and allow me to obtain the Fa. It took time to break through the shell that had sealed me off from my Buddha-nature. But once it breaks through, the Fa gushes forth with an endless stream of Zhen-Shan-Ren, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, infusing the mind, heart and body with the great awareness of what it takes to move forward in cultivation. Since those days of letting go of the things that were blocking me from truly cultivating, I have become more clearheaded and am very thankful for that.

How agonizing it is to live in this world with no sense of reason and no hope for survival, but with the Fa, we are able to make sense of our own human world. This is why it is so important for us to act now and let people know what is really going on.

Master says,

"Because everything of the future is created by this Fa, beings in the future will exist in the living environment that this Fa provides for them. Whoever is able to make it into the future will have done so only after having been washed clean by the Fa and having assimilated to the Fa. If you can't recognize even this Fa, then of course you cannot stay. Where would you go if you were to stay? The universe of the future is created by this Fa, so there would be no place for you, and you would no longer exist." (“Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference")

My wife has obtained the Fa as well and encourages me to practice more. I am ever so grateful for this.

By studying the Fa well we have experienced countless benefits in our relationship with each other and with our children. Our family has been fortified by Dafa!

But time presses on and the Fa-rectification is closing in on the human world. For us, a young married couple with two small children, there is very little time to do the three things Dafa disciples should do. It is not a simple thing to clarify the truth to the world's people. As I have found, one must really think it through with regard to what approach to take when clarifying the truth. This is why it requires such enormous sacrifices to be a Fa-rectification Dafa disciple. We must give up every one of our interests and pursuits in order to fulfill our vows and save the world's people in a rational and caring way. We can't get carried away and just shout everything we have come to know after years of careful study of the Fa. It takes time to reach higher degrees of enlightenment, and people must be given a safe point to begin from.

As Master says,

"I hope that you won't lessen your resolve. Haven't you caught glimpses of dawn's light? The evil is finished, and the closer it gets to the end, the more invigorated you should be. Fulfill what you are supposed to as Dafa disciples, and save more sentient beings. Therein lies mighty virtue. Behind each being you save lies a massive group of lives. What a magnificent thing that is." (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference")

I have failed to give up my attachments sometimes and have in turn fallen behind in cultivation, but the more I study the Fa, the more determined I am to make quick progress and catch up on the path of cultivation.

When I become confused about what to do and hesitate in taking the next step in cultivation, sending forth righteous thoughts clears the path ahead and shines light in the direction I must follow. And as the human world seems to fall apart with many signs of danger looming, clarifying the truth enables us to throw out a "life-raft" to those who are lost in the ocean of chaos and pull them safely onto the Fa-vessel carrying them to "the universe of the future."

My wife and I would like to thank all the people who maintain the Dafa websites, because we are out here on are own, away from any practice sites, and the resources made available are very important to us, as they allow us to stay connected to the powerful current of Dafa in the human world. We are very proud of every Dafa disciple for being part of this grand mission; we are all particles of Dafa, one body.

Our hearts go out to those of you who endure the wicked persecution in China. We will do our best to eliminate the evil by sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth. May we all cherish this final moment!
