(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in ten provinces. In this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chong Yu'e Held at Brainwashing Facility
Ms. Chong Yu'e and Mr. Zhang Enjie were taken from their home and sent to a brainwashing facility on March 23, 2011. Ms. Zhang was released on March 27, but Ms. Chong is still being held.
2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information Regarding Ms. Liu Fenglan's Arrest
Ms. Liu Fenglan and her husband were taken to Nangou Detention Center by officers from the Domestic Security Division on March 14, 2011. The police officers were angry and tried to severely punish her since she hasn't said anything since her arrest.
3. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yingfen Taken to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Li Yingfen, 58, lives in Yangshulin Village, Qinjiatun Town, Gongzhuling. Ms. Li was taken from her home by officers from the Domestic Security Division on March 4, 2011. She was sent to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp on April 1. According to sources from inside China, she was sentenced to two years of forced labor. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a TV, antenna, computer, and other personal belongings.
4. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Shang Xiping and Mr. Sun Shiwei on Hunger Strikes
Three Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death in two weeks in Lianjiangkou Prison, and the prison authorities persecuted other practitioners in many ways. They even physically assaulted and arrested the family members of practitioners who came to visit.
Mr. Shang Xiping and Mr. Sun Shiwei have been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution for several days.
5. [Tianjin] Mr. Su Jianming Sentenced to Ten Years of Prison
Mr. Su Jianming was secretly sentenced to a ten year prison term recently. Ji County 610 Office ransacked his home in October 2009. He had to leave his home and became homeless. He was arrested in the Tanggu District and is being held in Qilifeng Detention Center.
6. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pan Cuiyu Detained and Two Practitioners Harassed
Officers Chen Fei and Wu Changnian from Sujiadian Police Station broke into Ms. Pan Cuiyu's home in Xixiaohanjia Village, Sujiadian Town, on the morning of March 30, 2011. The officers ransacked Ms. Pan's home and took her to the Sujiadian Police Station. They beat her and tried to extort 30,000 yuan from her family. Ms. Pan was detained for ten hours.
Officer Chen Fei and Party Secretary of Xixiaohanjia Village harassed Mr. Han Xuetai and Ms. Han Hongying in March 2011. They tried to extort 30,000 yuan from Mr. Han Xuetai.
7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Aihua Held in Dashan Detention Center
Ms. Zhao Aihua was arrested by officers from Liuting Police Station for speaking with people about Falun Gong on March 28, 2011. Officers from Chengyang Police Station broke into Ms. Zhao's home and ransacked it. She was taken to Dashan Detention Center on March 31.

8. [Shanghai] Ms. Yue Xiuping Arrested
Ms. Yue Xiuping, an employee of Shanghai Civic Construction No. 2 Company, was arrested in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Provincem at the end of February 2011. She was detained in Huangpu Police Sub-Bureau for one month in 2002. She was also sent to brainwashing facilities three times.
9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Qiumei Detained and Money Extorted from Her
Ms. Zhao Qiumei was reported for speaking to people about Falun Gong around March 20, 2011. She was seized by officers from Xuanwu Street Police Station. Her home was ransacked. The police extorted 10,000 yuan from her family and then released her.
10. [Tianjin] Mr. Pei Yi Harassed
Mr. Pei Yi was taken to Youyi Road Police Station on March 31, 2011. He was picked up and taken back by his family because of health problems at around 10:00 p.m. on the same day. Three officers came to his home an hour later and his family refused to open the door.
11. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Su Jinxia Became Homeless
Ms. Su Jinxia was arrested while speaking with people about Falun Gong. She was released on bail that night. The police ruled that she would spend one year of forced labor while serving her sentence outside the facility. They ordered her to sign the document and threatened to send her to Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp if she didn't. Ms. Su had to leave her home. There are plainclothes officers outside her home monitoring the property.
12. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Hu Huangjiao Taken to Brainwashing Center after Her Forced Labor Camp Term Ends
Ms. Hu Huangjiao was sentenced to two years of forced labor in March 2009. Her term in Jiangsu Women's Forced Labor Camp ended on March 5, 2011. Changzhou 610 Office sent her to a brainwashing facility in Changzhou because she refused to renounce Falun Gong.
Ms. Hu was strictly monitored in Jiangsu Women's Forced Labor Camp. She had been held in the first division doing hard labor since May 2010.
13. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gong Xiqiang Taken Away from Home by Daizongfang Police Station on March 18
14. [Yilong County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Xujun Detained
Mr. Tang Xujun was reported for handing out leaflets about Falun Gong in Biquan Township Market on the morning of March 30, 2011. He was arrested by Biquan Township Police Station. About six officers from the Domestic Security Division and Rixing Police Station ransacked his home. Mr. Tang is being held in Yilong Detention Center.
15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Rao Xiaoping Harassed Twice
Ms. Rao Xiaoping, 52, was followed by Li Shenghong, a member of Taibei No.2 Village Community Committee, and officers from Jiang'an District Domestic Security Division and Taibei Street Police Station since mid March. They also went to her home and harassed her twice.

17. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Du Wanming and Mr. Du Wancheng and his wife, Ms. Wang Ruihua, were arrested by officers from Shengli Police Station on the evening of February 26. They were held in a brainwashing facility downtown for the first month. They were later sent to a forced labor camp to serve one year and three months.
18. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Zongquan Taken Away
Mr. Yang Zongquan, in his 40s, lives in Lingdong Village, Wendengying Town. He was taken away from his home by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Wendeng Police Department on the afternoon of March 29, 2011.

20. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Wang Xinjiang and Ms. Du Bing Arrested
Mr. Wang Xinjiang was arrested for speaking to people about Falun Gong in another city and was transferred to Sanqiao Police Station in Taiyuan. He was later sent to Xinghualing Detention Center.
Ms. Du Bing, 40, teaches at Taiyuan University of Technology. She was arrested in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, in March. She was detained in Jiaozuo Detention Center for a while and was transferred to Xinghualing Detention Center recently.

21. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Huilan Detained
Ms. Zhang Huilan, in her 60s, was reported for speaking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of March 25, 2011. She is being held in Pingjiang Detention Center. Her family requested she be released and the police tried to extort more than 10,000 yuan from them.
22. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Shen Hongmei was arrested by officers from Futian 610 Office and Yuanling Police Station on the morning of March 26, 2011. She might be sent to Xili Brainwashing Center.
Another practitioner, Ms. Gan Jiejun, was sent to Guangzhou Prison. Other practitioners arrested on March 26 included: Ms. Li Hongzhou, Ms. Li Dan, Mr. Nie Yong, and Mr. Shao Yaxu.

23. [Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wu Jinling's Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Wu Jinling, 34, is an outstanding teacher at the Taigu No. 2 High School. She was arrested at her home on January 30, 2011. Participating in the arrest were more than a dozen officers from the Shanxi 610 Office, the Jinzhong and Taigu 610 Offices, together with Domestic Security Division officers from the Jinzhong and Taigu police departments. Ms. Wu's home was ransacked and her whereabouts are unknown.
