(Clearwisdom.net) For a long time, local practitioners felt that it was difficult for us to work together. In particular, some practitioners did not appreciate our coordinator using ordinary people's methods to coordinate practitioners. I had my own opinion about our coordinator. I always thought that when a fellow practitioner was arrested, it should be our priority to drop other duties and immediately notify practitioners, send righteous thoughts at close range to disintegrate evil factors, and support positive ideas to get the practitioner back home. Instead, the first thing our coordinator did was to relocate Dafa related equipment and materials, which meant missing out on the opportunity to help the arrested practitioner. For these reasons I did not participate in many activities and kept a distance from our coordinator. I thought I only needed to do the three things and there was no need to work with someone who did not recognize what I thought was important. I was a complainer, wanted things to be done my way, and had a strong desire to validate myself.
A few days ago I was studying the Fa with a fellow practitioner when she began complaining about our coordinator and became more and more upset about him. I could tell that she was being controlled by her emotions. At this point, I knew that complainers were people who did not want to improve their own character. As we shared our thoughts some more, we recognized that the real reason why so many of us were unhappy about our coordinator was because all of us needed to improve our own character. Indeed, the evil is happy when we complain. We recalled that Teacher mentioned this problem in Teaching the Fa to Australian Falun Dafa Practitioners. We were ashamed of what we had said and became determined to disintegrate our negative thoughts and feelings.
As we shared some more about our problems, we felt really good about our improvement as we looked within ourselves. Now, we no longer complain, get angry, or point fingers at others. Furthermore, we realized that changes need to start with ourselves. Whenever we recognize a problem in someone, it is to remind us about our own shortcomings. We need to use Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to find where we should improve. This way, evil spirits have no chance to use the attachment to our thoughts about a coordinator's behavior.
