(Clearwisdom.net) I had a lot to learn with the establishment of a truth-clarification materials production site at my home. I decided to see Practitioner A, about 30 kilometers from my home. There were seven members in the household; her parents over the age of 80 and three school-aged children. Her husband was imprisoned for practicing Falun Gong. The whole family relied on her for their support, and she was under a lot of pressure. During the day, she did her business, cooking and washing. In the evening, she studied the Fa, did the exercises and made truth-clarification materials. She had little time to rest. Every time I wanted her to teach me something, I would volunteer to help do her housework so she could squeeze me in. Time flew! After her husband was released, he was very diligent and quickly helped with the materials production work. Her children were able to help with some of the work too. Under Teacher’s compassionate care, our materials processing site produced more and more truth-clarification materials, and the quality improved dramatically. People learned the truth and liked the materials very much. I would like to take this opportunity to thank fellow practitioners who work on truth-clarification materials at the Clearwisdom website and let them know how their work makes it possible for us to easily print and distribute information to people.
Because we were busy producing truth-clarification materials, we did not have time to study the Fa. After awhile, interference from our human thoughts emerged. On February 25, 2006, Teacher published "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles." At the time, I did not know how to print a lecture, but I was eager to to do so and deliver it to other practitioners. In the afternoon, Practitioner C, in her thirties and from another part of the country, came to my home. She was also a beginner on the computer, but she was a bit better than me. I asked her for help to print the new lecture, but the printer was out of order. At approximately 10 p.m., we printed the first copy. Then she had some urgent business and needed to leave right away. I asked her to print several more copies. She said that she would come and print more copies in a few days. Three days later, she printed about 30 copies, however, there were errors, missing characters and layout problems. After Practitioner C went to other practitioner’s homes, she told them that “the old lady” (referring to me) was very slow-witted. I did not say anything, but made an effort to fix the mistakes, errors and rebound the lecture copies. It took a few more days before I handed them out to fellow practitioners.
As a matter of fact, after the printer was out of order I should have looked inward because there is nothing accidental on our path of cultivation. At the time, the thought of accomplishing a task emerged and I was a bit anxious. In the summer of 2007, Practitioner C was followed, detained and sentenced to forced labor. She had turned the opposite way after being brutally persecuted. As a result, those practitioners she had been in contact with were all persecuted too. I was implicated and my husband and I had to leave our home to avoid being arrested and persecuted.
Eventually, we settled down at a relative's home. Our relative lived in a big city and the environment was good because they all supported Dafa. First of all, we would study the Fa with a calm mind. Teacher said,
"The most prominent manifestation of this is the severe persecution many students face as a result of their strong human mindset and lack of righteous thoughts. The solution is to without exception make studying the Fa a priority and to study the Fa diligently. This Great Law is able to rectify the colossal firmament and allows people to cultivate to Consummation-shouldn't you treasure an opportunity as rare and precious as this? And this is an opportunity that will be gone in an instant! " ("Shed the Human Mindset")
We studied the Fa well and improved ourselves from the understanding of the Fa. When we do so, our human thoughts will automatically be eliminated. I was determined to do the three things Teacher asked us to do. At the same time, I rectified my past mistakes, kept looking inward and let go of all kinds of desires, of competitiveness, the show-off mentality and the mentality of accomplishing a task.
In 2003, after I was released from an extended term of detention at a forced labor camp, I was penniless. At the time, my husband did not practice Falun Gong and had a a lot of fear. He was deceived by the persecutors and kept me at home. He did not allow me to contact other practitioners. One day, my husband went to a food market and I went with him. He met an acquaintance at the market. He gave me 10 yuan to buy some food, but instead, I got on a bus and went to see a fellow practitioner. I got Teacher's new lectures from the practitioner and I began to read them eagerly. The principles of the Fa helped me understand that as practitioners we must join the campaign against the persecution, expose the evil crimes and save sentient beings.
I decided to sell my house and use the money to save sentient beings. An agent sold my house for 138,000 yuan. I asked fellow practitioners to buy two computers, a laser printer, a color printer and some other consumables. Some other materials production sites needed money too and I spent half of the money very quickly. My husband would always quarrel with me about money. In the beginning, I did not measure our conflict with the Fa principles and failed to share this with him. Sometimes, I failed to maintain my xinxing and would argue with him. The old forces would use this gap and create distance between us. I knew I failed to do a good job in harmonizing my family. Therefore, I would talk patiently with my husband and ask him if he still remembered what my health was like before practicing Falun Gong. He did not say a word.
Before practicing Falun Gong, I was a chronic invalid and suffering from headaches, liver problems, stomach problems, rheumatic heart disease and myocardial infarction. Every day, I was in a life-threatening situation. I felt dizzy and was unable to walk. The medical expenses amounted to tens of thousands of yuan. I really could not bear all the suffering. I was so fortunate to have learned of Falun Dafa. Miraculously, all my illnesses disappeared and I experienced the state of lightness, without illness. I said to my husband, it was Teacher who saved me and gave me a second life. Now, Teacher was being slandered, Dafa was being humiliated and countless fellow practitioners were brutally persecuted. Some of them even died as a result of being tortured. How could I not do something about it? My husband was convinced and did not argue about the money any more. He was in poor health too. After seeing the great changes in me, he began to practice Falun Dafa in 2008.
My husband upgraded his xinxing very quickly. He said he wanted to buy a laptop to browse the Clearwisdom website. After he purchased the laptop, our nephew studying at a nearby university came to help us on the weekends. He taught us how to download and print articles from the Internet. We downloaded Falun Gong’s main book Zhuan Falun and a complete set of Dafa books. We produced copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party pamphlets, weekly newspapers, weekly magazines and other Dafa materials. A new truth-clarification materials site was born.
After the materials were produced, since we did not know other local practitioners, my husband and I were the ones to distribute them. I saw great changes in people who had learned the truth. At the market, I gave a flier advising people to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its subordinate organizations to a young man who sold fruit. He looked unhealthy, with a dark complexion. Two weeks later, I saw him again at the market and his face looked smooth, fair and rosy. He was in high spirits. I gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries. On the bus, I gave an amulet with the characters "Falun Dafa is good" to a lady sitting next to me. She was happy to accept it and instantly looked a lot prettier. There are numerous examples like that.
One day, we went to an amusement park with a relative’s family. While the young people were playing, I found a quiet place to listen to Teacher's lectures. Several hours elapsed very quickly. We then lunched at a restaurant. After lunch, I sent forth righteous thoughts. In my pocket, I found a self-adhering poster with the words "heaven will extinguish the Chinese Communist Party" and "Quit the CCP to Stay Safe.” I posted it in the restaurant. At midnight, I had a lot of energy and sent forth righteous thoughts. I saw magnificent scenes in other dimensions. I enlightened that Teacher was encouraging me.
Another time, I went to my hometown in the countryside to distribute truth-clarification materials. I went to a farm produce market where a lot of people shop. I sent forth righteous thoughts to the crowd and asked Teacher to help me get more people to learn the truth. I packed more than 500 copies of DVDs, fliers and other materials. I clarified the truth and gave out informational materials. The awakening sentient beings moved towards me and asked for the materials. I finished giving out all the materials in two hours.
During the process of producing truth-clarification materials over the years, I found that whenever I studied the Fa well, studied the Fa a lot and set strict standards for my xinxing, the materials produced would be beautiful and the work would go smoothly. After we went to remote rural areas to distribute truth-clarification materials, we would often spend ten to fifteen days on the road and could not guarantee Fa study. After coming back home, we would rush to process all kinds of materials. At times like that, we would have problems on our machines or there would be errors in layout and printing. It’s exactly what Teacher said,
"If you are to do well at the task of saving sentient beings, you first must cultivate yourselves well. Only by studying the Fa more can your righteous thoughts be ample, and only by studying the Fa well can a Dafa disciple fulfill his or her historic mission." ("To the Brazil Fa Conference")
