1. [Huaihua, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang Qingying Arrested
Ms. Tang Qingying, in her 60s, a former deputy director of the Hecheng District Statistics Bureau, was arrested along with practitioner Qiu on February 12, 2011, at the Huaihua City Central Market's Pedestrian Mall.
Ms. Tang was placed under house arrest on September 30, 1999, for remaining steadfast in her belief in Falun Gong. She went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on October 12, 1999, but was arrested and sentenced to three years in prison. She was released on October 27, 2002. Ms. Tang was arrested again on February 25, 2003, and her home was ransacked. Hecheng District Court officials sentenced her to seven years and six months in prison, and her employer suspended her pension.
2. [Ziyang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Shufen Tortured and Injected with Unknown Drug at Er'ehu Brainwashing Center
Ms. Liu Shufen from Ziyang City was arrested and taken to the Er'ehu Brainwashing Center on April 28, 2010. She was forced to stand for long periods for two months and was also forcibly given a toxic injection. Her legs immediately swelled and she suffered partial memory loss.
3. [Jinan, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Qingmei, Ms. Xing Baoyu, Ms. Liu Yujing, Mr. Zhang Yong, Mr. Xu Yong, and Mr. He Shunming Arrested
Ms. Wang Qingmei from Jinan, about 60, was arrested on the morning of February 25, 2011, while distributing truth-clarification information about Falun Gong in Erqi New Village. Officers from the Erqi Police Station made the arrest and ransacked her home.
Ms. Xing Baoyu, 61, a retiree from a fertilizer plant in Jinan, was arrested on February 3, 2011, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at Quancheng Square. She was held in the Zhangzhuang Detention Center in the western suburb.
Mr. Zhang Yong and Mr. Xu Yong from Pingyin are currently held at the Jinan City 610 Office.
Ms. Liu Yujing from Xinglong Village, Shiliulihe Town, was arrested around 6 p.m. on December 26, 2010, by officers from the Shiliulihe Town Police Station.
Mr. He Shunming was arrested and her home was ransacked around 9 p.m. on November 12, 2010.
4. [Jinan, Shandong Province] Mr. Kang Xinzhong, Mr. Liu Chuanxiang, and Mr. Hu Tinghao Illegally Tried and Sentenced
Licheng Court officials held a trial for Mr. Kang Xinzhong, Mr. Liu Chuanxiang and Mr. Hu Tinghao on January 31, 2011. Mr. Kang and Mr. Liu were each sentenced to three years in prison; Mr. Hu was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.
5. [Qing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Qingling Suffers Heart Problems as a Result of the Persecution at Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Ma Qingling from Qing County was arrested on August 25, 2010, by officers from the Qing County Police Department. She was sent to the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp on October 30, 2010. Ms. Ma has developed heart problems due to mistreatment in the labor camp.
6. [Beijing] Many Practitioners Arrested at the End of September 2010
Many practitioners from the Shijingshan District and from the Mentougou area were arrested at the end of September 2010. The practitioners from Mentougou included Ms. Liu Chun, Mr. An Heping, Ms. Wang Huifang, Ms. Li Yue'e, Ms. Liu Shufen, Ms. Zhang Xiaoping, Ms. Zhang Xiaoyi, Ms. Li Yaru, Ms. Li Xiuzhen, Ms. Li Yaru's mother, Mr. Chen Jun, Mr. Yang Baoyi, Mr. Li Yonglin, Ms. Li Ximei, and Ms. Zhai Fengxian.
Practitioners from the Shijingshan District included Mr. Liu Xingdu, Mr. Peng Tianguo and his wife, Mr. An Degui and his wife, Mr. Li Qian, Mr. Liu Shuyong, Mr. Wang Yanfu and his wife, Ms. Wu Hanying from Tong County, and Ms. Yu Zhixin from the downtown area.
The following practitioners have been released: Ms. Zhang Xiaoyi, Ms. Li Yaru and her mother, Mr. Yang Baoyi, Ms. Li Xiuzhen, Mr. Liu Xingdu, Mr. Liu Shuyong, Mr. Li Qian, Mr. Peng Tianguo and his wife, Mr. An Degui's wife, and Ms. Yu Zhixin.
Most of the other practitioners have been subjected to forced labor, and several face sentencing.
Ms. Liu Chun from Sanjiadian was tortured to death in a forced labor camp.
7. [Qing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Tieshan Physically Abused at Qing County Detention Center
Qing County police officers arrested five practitioners on the evening of August 25, 2010. Mr. Zhang Tieshan was taken to the Qing County Detention Center.
Former detention center head Du Lianshan interrogated Mr. Zhang on the morning of August 26, 2010. Du told criminal detainee Shi Yan to slap Mr. Zhang's face because Mr. Zhang refused to disclose his name and address.
8. [Beijing] Ms. Lai Xiuchun Arrested
Ms. Lai Xiuchun from Miyun County was arrested on February 18, 2011. Her home was ransacked.
9. [Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province] Ms. Hou Ruilian and Another Practitioner Arrested
Ms. Hou Ruilian, 56, from Zhong Village, Jinling Town, and another practitioner were recently arrested.
10. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lan Yuhai and Her Husband, Ms. Zhang Yuzhi and Her Husband, and Mr. Zhang Yu Arrested
Officers from the Chaoyang County Police Department and from the Beisijiazi Police Station arrested five practitioners around 8 p.m. on February 19, 2011, at the Goubangzi Group, Wenhu Village, Beisijiazi Township. The practitioners are Ms. Zhang Yuzhi and her husband, Ms. Lan Yuhai and her husband, and Mr. Zhang Yu.

11. [Gaizhou, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Fenghua Arrested
Ms. Wang Fenghua from Gaizhou was arrested on the afternoon of February 16, 2011. Domestic Security Division officers made the arrest and took her to the Yingkou Detention Center.

12. [Xiangcheng, Henan Province] Ms. Tian Xiaoying Arrested, Her Family Persecuted
Ms. Tian Xiaoying from Zhengwan Village, Xiangcheng City, was arrested at home by officers from the Xiangcheng Domestic Security Division and from the Wangmingkou Township Police Station on February 6, 2011. She is being held in the Xiangcheng City Detention Center.
Officers Jiang Weijian and Niu Hanqing from the Xiangcheng City Domestic Security Division and deputy head Ding from the Wangmingkou Township Police Station went to Zhengwan Village on the afternoon of August 4, 2008, intending to arrest three practitioners. The officers confiscated the practitioners' printers, computers, and other personal property while they were not home. They also arrested Ms. Tian's husband, Mr. Zheng Kelin, a non-practitioner. Mr. Zheng was held in the Xiangcheng City Detention Center for 40 days. He was released once the police extorted 20,000 yuan from him.
Ms. Tian and Ms. Qiao Jianli, another practitioner from the same village, had to abandon their homes in order to avoid further persecution.
13. [Tianjin] Ms. Xin Yanhua and Another Practitioner Arrested
Ms. Xin Yanhua and another practitioner with the last name of Sun from the Baodi District were arrested around February 18, 2011. Their homes were ransacked by the police. They are being held in a detention center.

14. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Lijie Arrested
Mr. Li Lijie from Beitian Village, Dingxing County, was arrested at his home on February 25, 2011. The police confiscated a color TV, DVDs, cash, and Falun Gong books. He is being held in the Dingxing Detention Center.

15. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Xue Tianzuo and Other Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Xue Tianzuo, who teaches at Liaozhong No. 2 High School, and a practitioner with the surname Yang were arrested on February 22, 2011. Li Wei and Li Hongwei from the Liaozhong Police Department's Domestic Security Division and officers from the Xijie Police Station made the arrest. Mr. Xue is being held in the Liaozhong County Detention Center.
Documents to be used to charge Ms. Ye Zhongqiu, another local practitioner who was arrested earlier, were transferred to the Liaozhong County Court.

16. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wu Qing and Four Other Practitioners Tortured in Detention
Ms. Wu Qing, Ms. Shao Chunying, Ms. Chen Xuezhen, and Mr. Ju Jianxun from Wuxue City were transferred from the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center to the Wuxue City Detention Center in mid-January 2011. Mr. Tao Jinlong has been held in the Wuxue City Detention Center. The five practitioners are extremely weak as a result of physical abuse.
Ms. Wu is an elementary school PE teacher in Wuxue City. According to an eyewitness, two people had to hold her up at the Wuxue City No.1 People's Hospital. She was in handcuffs and heavy shackles and was unable to speak.
17. [Dezhou, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Xi'e, Mr. Zhao Yucai, and Mr. Zhang Wenyan Arrested
Ms. Gong Xi'e was arrested on December 7, 2010, while visiting her friend. Four officers from the Jianzigu Police Station in the Decheng District made the arrest and took her to the Zhoudu Hotel Brainwashing Center. Ms. Gong became partially paralyzed while in detention. She was released on January 20, 2011.
Mr. Zhao Yucai, in his 60s, and Mr. Zhang Wenyan, in his 50s, were arrested by officers from the Jianzigu Police Station on December 17, 2010, while distributing calendars with Falun Gong truth-clarifying information. The police subjected the two practitioners to a physical examination. Mr. Zhao was found to have high blood pressure, and Mr. Zhang had pleurisy. As a result, both were disqualified for detention. However, Liu Dawei and other officers from the Decheng District Police Department took Mr. Zhao to the Zhoudu Hotel Brainwashing Center and took Mr. Zhang to the Dezhou Detention Center the next day.
The police ransacked Mr. Zhao's home and confiscated his personal belongings, including DVDs and books. They extorted 3,000 yuan from his family prior to his release.
Mr. Zhang was held in detention for more than 20 days before being released on January 10, 2011. The police had extorted more than 10,000 yuan from his family prior to his release.
18. [Sichuan Province] Multiple Practitioners from Mianyang Area Subjected to Illegal Detention and Sentencing
The following practitioners are currently detained: Mr. Deng Chengkai, Ms. Zhang Chunbao, Mr. Yin Huajie, Mr. Feng Wei, Mr. Liu Tao, Ms. Yang Suyun, Ms. Zhou Xiaohua, Ms. Qu Yunshu, Ms. Zhang Yan, Ms. Liang Biling, Ms. Liu Ping, Mr. Jiang Wenping, Mr. Teng Hongbing, Mr. Zhang Qizhong, Mr. Wei Chaohai, Mr. Du Zhijun, and Ms. Wang Lianying.
The following practitioners have been released from illegal detention: Ms. Mu Ling, Ms. Liu Fang, Ms. Lin Li, Ms. Gao Yan, Ms. Mingzhu, and Ms. Jing Shaofang.
Ms. Wu Fenglei was sentenced to three and a half years, Ms. Xiao Shifeng was sentenced to three years, and Mr. Zhong Shikai was sentenced to two years in prison. However, the three practitioners are being allowed to serve their terms outside of the prison.
19. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Yang Xiuyun Illegally Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Yang Xiuyun, 54, was arrested at home on the evening of September 9, 2010, by officers from the Ningcheng County Domestic Security Division. She has been held at the Ningcheng County Detention Center.
Ningcheng County Court officials held a trial on December 17, 2010, and sentenced Ms. Yang to three and a half years in prison. She is still in the detention center.
20. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Jixiang Dies in Prison
Ms. Liu Jixiang, 76, from the Nangang District, Harbin City, was arrested in 2008 for distributing truth-clarifying information about Falun Gong. She was illegally sentenced and held in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. She was pressured to "reform" under high pressure while held in the Intensive Training Section, and was subsequently transferred to Ward No. 10.
Ms. Liu was carried into an ambulance around 8:30 p.m. on October 13, 2010. She was dead before being placed in the ambulance. The cause of death was listed as cerebral hemorrhage.
21. [Luzhou, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liang Shuangquan Arrested
A woman in her 50s grabbed Mr. Liang Shuangquan and refused to let him go at around 9 a.m. on February 15, 2011, at the Shuijingkan Vegetable Market in the Longmatan District. She called officer Liu from the Xiaoshi Police Station, who arrested Mr. Liang and took him to the police station.
Mr. Liang, 68, is a family member of an employee at the Chuannan Mine. The mine personnel and the local 610 Office agents took him to a brainwashing facility in 2010 and incarcerated him for nearly a year. He was also harassed and detained many other times for his belief in Falun Gong.
