Semarang, Indonesia: Falun Dafa Practitioners Participate in the Cultural Parade of Central Java (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday, February 27, 2011, the Indonesian Divine Land Marching Band and Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to participate in the cultural parade of Central Java. The parade with participants across cultures, such as the local Balinese, Chinese community, various local arts communities, even the participants from the Air Defense Artillery and the Regional Police Semarang, was opened at the City Hall at 3 pm by the mayor of Semarang, Mr. Soemarmo HS.

At the beginning, the organizers, through a speaker, read the banners carried by the practitioners: "Falun Dafa Improves Morality," and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Leads People Toward Goodness” as the message practitioners would like to convey to the citizens of Semarang.

Along the way, the Divine Land Marching Band received warm applause from the spectators who had gathered along the road. Some local Chinese were seen talking to the practitioners who distributed Falun Dafa’s introduction flyers. A Chinese man shook hands with a practitioner after having learned the truth.

Despite rain, Falun Dafa practitioners performed till the end of the parade procession.

Heavy rain did not dampen the spirit of practitioners to complete their parade procession. During the closing ceremony at the Simpang Lima Square, organizers and the deputy mayor expressed their hope that this cultural event could become an annual agenda of Semarang and thanked all of the participants.
