(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in seven cities or counties in four provinces. In this report, ten practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least three practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Former National-Level Coach Gao Weixi Suffers Heart Attack in Siping Prison
Mr. Gao Weixi, 73 years old, is from Changchun Institute of Physical Education. He was sentenced to four years in Jilin's Siping Prison in 2008. In prison, he is subjected to brutal beatings. Although he has had several heart attacks, the police from his residential area still refuse to process the necessary paperwork for his temporary medical release.
2. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Shangshi Subjected to Torture
Mr. Li Shangshi and Mr. Geng Chunlong are both detained in the third area of Shenyang City First Prison. They are locked in the Harsh Management Section of the prison and subjected to severe persecution.
3. [Lingyuan, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Fengzhan Persecuted
Chen Zhi and other police officers from the domestic security division arrested Ms. Guo Fengzhan at home in Lingyuan. They also ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, a CD burner, truth clarification CDs, and other personal items.

4. [Jixi, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Chunyan and Ms. Wang Fengxia Persecuted
Ms. Zhao Chunyan from Hengshan, Jixi, was arrested near Mudanjiang Court on November 28, 2008 and sentenced to one-and-a-half years of imprisonment. Authorities at Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center refused to release her on May 28, 2010. Instead they illegally extended her term for another eight months.
Ms. Wang Fengxia from Hengshan, Jixi, was arrested on January 24, 2010. Authorities at Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center also refuse to release her. She was supposed to be released on January 24, 2011.

5. [Huadian, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiao Ling and Other Practitioners Secretly Tried in Huadian Court
Officials from the Huadian City 610 Office, the domestic security division, the Procuratorate Court, and the court collaborated in the trials of Ms. Jiao Ling, Mr. Wang Xiaohu, and Mr. Fu Renjiang. All three practitioners failed their physical examinations before they were taken to the prison. As a result, the police from the domestic security division had to take them back. Mr. Wang Xiaohu and Mr. Fu Renjiang are still detained.
6. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Liying and Other Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Bai Yun and Ms. Li Liying are both from Jiangbei, Jilin. They were arrested by Jiangbei First Police Station officers for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing truth clarification materials on January 26, 2011.
7. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Shaoping Persecuted
Ms. Yu Shaoping is an excellent music teacher. She has been harassed and detained multiple times by the authorities only because she believes in Falun Dafa. Police officer You Anjun from the county domestic security division arrested and took Ms. Yu to Dayi Detention Center in April 2000. She was later transferred to Xinjin Brainwashing Center, where she is still detained.
