(Clearwisdom.net) I have been practicing Falun Gong since 1996. For 15 years, I have persisted in cultivation under Master’s great compassion and protection. I am really grateful for what Master has done and the help I have received from other practitioners who helped to publish this experience-sharing article.
Overcoming Hardships and Standing Up to Validate Dafa
I was born in a small village in southern China. The name “Li Hongzhi” was stuck in my mind when I was little, and I could remember it clearly. Later, when I started reading the book Zhuan Falun, I realized that when I was young, I had dreamed about my most respected Master.
I was very good at writing when I was in school. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, I felt that I saw the shape of a brush pen on top of the regular pen in my hand. I realized that it might be a hint from Master, suggesting that I write articles to validate Dafa. One day I was sharing cultivation experiences with another practitioner about how I overcame the attachments of fear and dependency, and I started writing an article. I listed a lot of evidence to show how good Falun Dafa is, that Falun Dafa teaches us to be better people, and it improves our health. I urged people not to listen to the regime's lies about Dafa. I made many copies and distributed them around my local area. I went alone to Beijing with a few copies to appeal for Dafa.
In Beijing I mailed out two letters; one to the appeals office and the other to the then Premier Zhu Rongji in Zhongnanhai. A few days later, a police official from the City Police Department visited me and mentioned that the city's top officials had read my letter, that it was convincing, and they decided not to arrest me. By then, I knew that my letter had reached the top government officials in Zhongnanhai, with Master’s protection.
However, since this incident, I have been illegally detained and placed in a forced labor camp many times. After I was released, I continued doing the three things along with other practitioners. I did not overlook my writing ability and continued writing articles to validate Dafa. Besides writing articles to expose the persecution, I created several Dafa posters, slogans, and lyrics to spread Dafa, such as the lyrics to “Falun Dafa is good!”
Gathering the Facts to Write Articles to Validate Dafa and Offer People Salvation
During the Fa-rectification process, in the beginning of 2006, there was a great deal of evidence of how people have benefited from either believing in or recognizing Dafa by saying from their hearts, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” Such evidence has been essential information for validating Dafa and to offer more people salvation. At that time, I had the motivation to collect such information and publish it to help more people become aware of the truth. My fellow practitioners supported my idea. Some helped me to get online, and some helped me collect the evidence. We traveled a lot. On the road, we sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, which wanted to block us. Practitioners in different regions also contributed by locating the sources and bringing us to people who had witnessed the power or miracles of Dafa.
It was a tough job to collect good evidence. We would have to go to several counties and walk several dozen miles to complete an article, and we would encounter certain risks. Because of my writing skills, I was somewhat well known in my local area; thus I also became a target of the police and 610 Office. We had to pay extra attention to safety. We experienced several incidents where our lives were in danger, but we ended up safe under Master’s protection. We once went to a place to collect evidence. On our way back at the bus station, an evildoer recognized me and tried to take me to the police. He first locked me in a bus, and went for help to arrest me. I asked Master for protection and finally convinced the bus driver to open a side door for me, allowing me to escape.
From 2006 to 2009, I wrote about 200 articles based on first-hand evidence. About 100 of them were published on the Minghui website.
Writing Dafa articles is part of my cultivation and process of letting go of my attachments. In early 2010, there was an ordinary person from our local area who repeated “Falun Dafa is good!” and witnessed the power of Dafa in front of another Dafa practitioner. I went and talked to that person several times to get the complete story.
A couple of years ago, there was a local practitioner who had attended Master’s Dafa lectures in the past and had a lot of good memories of it. I wrote an article based on his recollections. This article was published on the Minghui website and was subsequently made into a booklet, which was distributed in various regions of China. Many practitioners who had remained silent for a long time were moved after reading this article. Many have since stepped forward and participated in Fa-rectification activities.
I have persisted in talking to people face to face regarding the goodness of Dafa and exposing the evil persecution. I also asked people to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations for a better future. I have offered many people salvation, and I will continue to cultivate on the right path.
