(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa has been spread to many countries around the world and the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is now understood and respected by more and more people. Located in western Jutland in Denmark, the Hammerum Friskole school in Herning City held a China Week to introduce Chinese culture and traditions to the students. On February 9, 2011, the school invited practitioners to introduce Falun Gong.

In the classroom, practitioners told the teachers and students about Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, which was introduced to the public in China in 1992. Master Li Hongzhi teaches people to follow the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, to be kind and to be good people, thus helping them to achieve good health and higher morality. There are now over 100 million people practicing Falun Gong in more than 100 countries around the world.
The practitioners also told the children about the 11-year long brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). One of the Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark had been sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp in China simply for practicing Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioner Liu Xiaotian's parents were tortured to death by the CCP for practicing Falun Gong. At that time, Xiaotian was only a teenager and middle school student. Moreover, he was targeted for persecution even though he did not practice Falun Gong. With his uncle’s help, he lived an isolated life hiding in a warehouse. After a year, his uncle borrowed a large sum of money and helped him escape to Denmark. After hearing the story about Liu Xiaotian, the children asked with concern about his current plight and the situation of his uncle, who is still living in China.
The practitioners used easily-understood language to tell the children about the grace of Falun Dafa. “A good child should tell the truth although sometimes that may be difficult. For example, one should admit a mistake if he does something wrong.” “We should be kind and friendly to parents, to brothers and sisters, to classmates and teachers and to everybody.” “If one curses or beats other people, he will get karma, a black substance.”
The children were very serious when learning to practice the Falun Gong exercises. Two girls were able to sit with both legs crossed over each other. The practitioners also taught them to fold paper lotus flowers, which symbolize holiness and purity, telling them that the lotus floats like a lily on a bog just as Falun Gong practitioners keep practicing and purifying themselves while working in society.
The teacher, Mr Rasmus, said: "I have learned some information about Falun Gong on the Internet and now through the presentation of the practitioners, I understand more about the essence of Falun Gong. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is really good and really powerful.”
