(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 2 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xu Zhen Illegally Arrested
Ms. Xu Zhen from the Qingshanhu District was arrested more than a month ago as she clarified the facts about Falun Gong by making phone calls. Officers from the Qingshanhu Domestic Security Division and from the police department made the arrest and ransacked her home. Ms. Xu is currently in the Nanchang No.1 Detention Center.

3. [Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liu Chang'e and Ms. Li Guihua Abused and Mistreated in the Jiangxi Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Liu Chang'e suffered from persecution-induced lower back pain since August 2010 in the Jiangxi Women's Forced Labor Camp, but she has been forced to do manual labor.
Ms. Li Guihua from Jiujiang City is in her late 60s. Labor camp officials urged drug offenders to beat her in an attempt to force her to “reform.” They handcuffed and shackled her and hung her up on a bed frame, wouldn't let her eat, and deprived her of restroom use.

5. [Lanzhou, Gansu Province] Circumstances of Mr. Jiang Chunbin
Mr. Jiang Chunbin lived in Xiejiazui Village, Dingyuan Township, Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City. He was arrested on February 10, 2002, by officers from the Qilihe District Police Department. He was held in the Xiguoyuan No.1 Detention Center until January 13, 2003, when he was officially arrested. Chengguan District Court officials held a covert trial on September 7, 2003, and sentenced him to a nine-year prison term. Mr. Jiang was later held in Dingxi Prison and then Lanzhou Prison. His term will expire on February 10, 2011.
6. [Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Li Qing Severely Abused in Yuzhang Prison
The head of Jiaoqiao Police Station and several officers broke into Mr. Li Qing's home on February 3, 2007. They confiscated his new motorcycle, a new computer, a cell phone and 200 yuan, valued at 8,000 yuan in total.
Qingshanhu Court officials tried Mr. Li without informing his family. The police beat him because he refused to cooperate. The police eventually pressed Mr. Li's hand on a document to get his fingerprint.
While Mr. Li was in the strictly-controlled team in Yuzhang Prison, political head Zhou instigated more than a dozen criminals and prison guards to take turn beating him for ten days in a row. They shocked him with electric batons and whipped him with copper wires, causing bruises all over his body. Scars from that beating are still visible. Mr. Li was then placed in solitary confinement for one and a half months. They poured urine and excrement on him.
