(Clearwisdom.net) On January 28, 2011, Ms. Peng Yan traveled more than 2,000 miles from Xinjiang to Wuhan City to help her older brother, who had been illegally arrested. When she arrived at the Wuchang District 610 Office in Wuhan (Room 744, 7th Floor, District Government Building), she was told that on January 27, the city's Public Security Bureau had arrested her older brother (Mr. Peng Liang), and he had been sent to the detention center.
During the more than 11 years of persecution by the CCP, two of Ms. Peng's five family members have been persecuted to death, and her father was recently persecuted while at a brainwashing center, until he became mentally unstable. Ms. Peng Yan herself had been jailed for three years, and now her oldest brother, Peng Liang, was again arrested just prior to the Chinese New Year. Ms. Peng stood firm with the authorities. The 610 Office staff called in three security guards to try to get Ms Peng to leave, but she refused. The 610 Office staff knew that they did not have a sound reason to evict Ms. Peng, and so told the security officers to leave. They said that they would not allow her re-entry to the 610 Office in the future and they would not tell her which detention center her brother was detained at.
Mr. Peng Liang is a very good person by all accounts. After starting to practice Falun Gong in 1997, he became healthy both physically and mentally, and also improved his moral character. Mr. Peng is a compassionate person and does not compete for personal gain. He always thinks of others first, and he is always happy to help others.

During the 11 years of persecution by the CCP, each of them has been arrested several times, searched, detained, subjected to brainwashing and sentenced to a forced labor camp. Their younger brother, Peng Min, was severely beaten by prisoners instigated by police at the Qingling Detention Center in Wuchang District, Wuhan. As a result, he was paralyzed, his hands and legs were fractured and he later died at the Wuhan City No. 7 Hospital. Less than a month later, their mother, Li Yinxiu, was beaten to death after she was detained at the brainwashing center. Later, the CCP Central TV program “Focal Point” lied about the issue and reported that Peng Min “died because he refused medical treatment”, and his mother Li Yinxiu “died because of a sudden brain hemorrhage.” Their father, Peng Weisheng, appealed according to the law. He was determined to lead a righteous life and did not want to give up his belief in Falun Gong. He has been arrested five times, forcibly brainwashed eight times, and sentenced to the Hewang Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan for a second time. He was persecuted to the point where he became mentally unstable.
Peng Liang has been arrested several times, and three times persecuted to the point of almost losing his life. At the end of 2001, after being arrested and persecuted, he was taken to Tongji Hospital for emergency treatment. In 2002, when he was taken to Yangyuan Brainwashing Center, he was again tortured so severely that he almost lost his life. In 2008, he was again tortured to the brink of death at Hewang Forced Labor Camp.
Peng Yan was also arrested and sentenced to three years because she was determined to cultivate Falun Dafa. While she was being detained at the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center, the police twice forced her onto the death bed for 39 days. After she was jailed, she was again severely persecuted and tortured. In July 2001, when Zhao Zhifei, Deputy Director of the Hubei Province Public Security Department, visited the United States, he was given a default judgment by a court in the United States, as he was directly responsible for the death of Peng Min and Li Yingxiu. In order to cover up its crime and evade responsibility, the provincial 610 Office directed the Wuhan Women's Prison to “transform” Peng Yan at all costs.
Currently, Peng Liang is in detention. He and another practitioner, Zhang Jingzhou, were arrested by police from the Xincun Police Substation after being watched near the Dongxihu District Public Security Bureau. Early in the morning on December 13, 2010, they were posting a sign saying “Falun Dafa is good, Heaven will eliminate the CCP” on the wall of the Wangtong Driving School. They were detained for 15 days at the Dongxihu District Detention Center.
Afterwards, Zhang Jinzhou was taken to Jinhe Detention Center at Dongxihu District, and Peng Liang was taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center, and detained for one month. Peng Liang has been arrested by the CCP and taken to a detention center.
The department mainly responsible for this case is the National Security Sub-bureau of Wuhan City Public Security Bureau (No. 1 Section). The 610 Office has threatened to sentence Peng Liang and Zhang Jinzhou to prison.
