(Clearwisdom.net) I have been studying Zhuan Falun for ten years now, and can even recite it from memory. But up until recently, I never felt like I had enlightened to the highest levels of meaning contained in the Fa. I believe this is because my thinking wasn't completely pure, even though I have always felt that I cultivated well compared to others.
In Zhuan Falun Teacher said,
"As practitioners, you will suddenly come across conflicts. What should you do? You should always maintain a heart of compassion and kindness. Then, when you run into a problem, you will be able to do well because it gives you room to buffer the confrontation. You should always be benevolent and kind to others, and consider others when doing anything. Whenever you encounter a problem, you should first consider whether others can put up with this matter or if it will hurt anyone. In doing so, there will not be any problems. Therefore, in cultivation practice you should follow a higher and higher standard for yourself."
I thought that I had understood what it meant to be selfless, but actually in those kinds of situations I was still thinking about what I felt, what I wanted, and how to best handle the situation.
As I broke through each of these barriers, I kept looking inward, and I cultivated myself. As Teacher taught us, as practitioners we should completely let go of all human notions in order to attain the highest understanding of the Fa. With this thought as my guide, I resolved to quickly comply with the standards that Teacher sets for practitioners. My level has been upgraded as a result, and I now feel like I have a deeper understanding when studying the Fa. I feel as though a new door has opened before me.
