(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Deming was illegally tried by the Luyang District Court on December 13, 2011. In the past, Mr. Zheng was sentenced twice and detained in prison for ten years.
Mr. Zheng Deming, from Hefei, Anhui Province, is 66 years old. He used to work at the Third Factory of the Hefei Iron and Steel Company. Because he remains steadfast in his belief, Mr. Zheng has been subjected to persecution by the communist regime several times. He was sentenced to three years in prison at the beginning of 2000 because he did the Falun Gong exercises in a park. In 2002, he was once again arrested and he was sentenced to seven years at the Chaohu Prison. This year, he was arrested at home by police officers from the Domestic Security Division of Luyang District and Haozhoulu Police Station in Hefei in June. His home was ransacked by the officers. On December 13, 2011, he was secretly tried by the Luyang District Court.
Mr. Zheng's family members and friends went to the court around 8 a.m. on the morning of December 13. Mr. Zheng was brought to the court at 8:30 a.m. Before he got out of the car, his family and friends, who haven't seen him for six months, wanted to talk to him and see if he was all right, but a dozen male police officers forcibly pulled them away and beat them, causing multiple injuries. Meanwhile, Mr. Zheng kept calling out, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” His wrist was bleeding because of the force of the handcuffs.
In the court, the judge and plaintiff couldn't find any law to hand Mr. Zheng a guilty sentence, so they adjourned the session without announcing any sentencing result. His family members requested that the judge release Mr. Zheng and find him not guilty, but they were pushed away by the bailiffs. During the dispute, Mr. Zheng was shoved to the ground. His family was worried about him and they tried to check whether he was injured, but the bailiffs also savagely blocked them and beat them. Mr. Zheng's granddaughter was injured.
Ms. Zhu Weiying Sentenced
Ms. Zhu Weiying's family members also went to the court the same day. Ms. Zhu and Mr. Zheng were arrested at the same time. Ms. Zhu's family members thought at first that she would also be tried that day. To their surprise, Ms. Zhu had already been secretly sentenced by the court. But the Luyang District Police Department, the Procuratorate and the court didn't reveal any information to her family members. Ms. Zhu was previously arrested and persecuted at the Luyang District Brainwashing Center in 2008. After Ms. Zhu was arrested, her son, who had suffered a mental collapse, was left alone at home with no one to take care of him. Later, the police even detained her son at the brainwashing center as well. Frightened and subjected to physical torture, her son's physical condition quickly deteriorated and shortly after being detained, he passed away. Ms. Zhu's other family members also suffered long-term persecution by the communist regime.
