Greetings, fellow practitioners!
I am a 74-year-old illiterate peasant woman. I started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, and all of my diseases disappeared. Within one year, I miraculously could read Zhuan Falun and Master's Fa lectures, but I could not read anything else. I enlightened that Master must have given me this ability to study Dafa. In 2009, I participated in the Internet experience sharing conference. It was very inspiring that my sharing article was published on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom). I am again participating in the Fa conference this year. Below is a summary, written by my daughter, of my cultivation experiences for the past few years. I would like to report to Master and share with fellow practitioners.
Creating a Cultivation Environment
All of my six children live in the city and have very good jobs. My husband and five of our children are also Dafa practitioners, and a few sons-in-law practice. My husband and I moved to the city 20 years ago. We stay with our children from time to time. I always tell them before we move in that they must have a good cultivation environment. I do the three things no matter whose house I stay in. Whoever does not respect Dafa would not have the good fortune to live with us.
Master said in “Teaching the Fa at the 2005 Canada Fa Conference:”
“Everything here in human society was established for Fa-rectification, and all that exists today exists for the sake of my Dafa disciples validating the Fa. Remember: you are the stars of today's world, you are the lives that sentient beings are watching the most intently, and you are beings who are determining the future of every person in the human world”
We have a lot of relatives. Many of them also have college degrees and good jobs. They often look forward to visiting us on holidays such as New Year's. I feel that this is a good cultivation environment. I always give them Dafa informational materials and amulets(1) and sincerely advise them to remember that Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. I tell them that they will be saved whenever disaster comes. I also advise them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. My children often remind me to be careful about who I speak to, but I believe that whoever I meet is predestined and I need to save them. The results of clarifying the truth have been good.
One of my sons-in-law did not believe in Dafa. We sent forth righteous thoughts for him after failing to convince him of the truth of Dafa. He recently had a car accident. He often feels sick and was demoted to a lower position. He has indeed received his karmic retribution.
Closely Following Master
I am slow in Fa study, but I believe in Master and Dafa and follow Master's requirements. We have practiced the exercises for two hours almost everyday for more than a decade. We have never missed doing the exercises since practitioners established 3:50 a.m. to 5:50 a.m. as the global time slot daily to do the exercises together. We have also encouraged our children to practice the exercises. Besides doing the exercises, we send forth righteous thoughts eight to ten times daily, including the four scheduled times. Every morning we study Master's lectures, read Minghui Weekly, and do routine housework and grocery shopping. In the afternoon after a short nap, we concentrate on Fa study and send righteous thoughts. At night, we distribute informational materials to sentient beings on the streets.
One day when I was watching my grandson in the residents' courtyard, I clarified the truth of Dafa to a woman in her 60s. She was suffering from back pain, so I told her to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She told me a few days later that her back pain disappeared after she followed my advice. She now takes her granddaughter to kindergarten in her electric car everyday.
I live in a wealthy community. I chatted with an elderly woman in stylish clothes and clarified the truth of Dafa to her. I then advised her to quit the CCP and she did. I later learned that she was the wife of a retired city supervisor. Her husband was also told the truth of Dafa by a fellow practitioner and was given a copy of Zhuan Falun before the persecution began. He even planned to learn Falun Gong from this practitioner. Unfortunately, he didn't have the chance because of the persecution. Possibly he already knew the truth of Falun Gong.
I used to be argumentative and angry when I heard something I did not like. After practicing cultivation, I realized that this was an attachment.
Master said at “Teaching the Fa at the 2005 Manhattan International Fa Conference,”
“... any attachment or any element in the human world that weighs on your mind becomes a lock that fastens you down and prevents you from leaving.”
I needed to study the Fa more and upgrade my xinxing. When I hear something unpleasant, I look inwards and correct the attachment once found. I am more considerate of others and do housework when we stay with our children. Being healthy and energetic, I always think about how to do the three things well.
My grandson is in kindergarten now. He is quiet and plays by himself when my husband and I clarify the truth. He sings “Falun Dafa Is Good” when we finish. Maybe this is the special way for a young Dafa practitioner to save sentient beings. All our grandchildren have become young Dafa practitioners. They all have grown up healthy and they behave well.
My husband and I do truth clarification every day, whatever the weather. I clarify the facts and simultaneously send forth the righteous thought, “The Fa rectifies the cosmos and the evil will not see us.” It often happens that predestined beings come right after we are done and ready to leave.
One day when I had finished posting truth clarifying materials in a building, someone walked in and said, “Oh, I know what you are doing.” I walked out of the building with one pure notion, “I am doing this to save people,” and nothing happened.
Under esteemed Master's protection and with fellow practitioners' cooperation, I can catch up with the Fa rectification process even though I am elderly. I always remind myself: “I want to cultivate diligently and return home with Master.”
Note: (1) Amulets – In China, practitioners sometimes "clarify the truth" by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
