(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Since July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party has spread slander to defame Falun Gong and hired people to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. For fame and personal gain, some people have agreed to take part in the persecution and have consequently received their due retribution.
Folks who persecuted practitioners were murdered
Wu Yuzhen is a villager in Zhenhai, Fuzhou, Wafangdian, Liaoning Province. In December 2001, she contacted local practitioners and told them that she would like to see Master's Fa teaching videotapes. In fact, she had made an agreement with the police that she would receive five hundred dollars for locating practitioners. After the practitioners came, she went out and called the police. Seven practitioners were illegally arrested, and three of them were sentenced to two years of imprisonment. The other two were held in the detention center.
A year later, Wu Yuzhen had an affair, and her brother-in-law killed her. She was only 40 years old.

Zou Zhizhen, in her 50s, was the deputy head of Canzhuang Village. After July 20, 1999, she worked hard to persecute practitioners. Practitioner Wang left her home to avoid further persecution and Zou threatened that she would cancel her identification document. In the winter, Zou had an affair with Liu Qingxian, another deputy head also in his 50s. When they were out together, they were involved in an accident with a bus and both of them died instantly.
Liu Fating was 59 years old when he became the deputy head through shady dealings. Plus, he continued to persecute practitioners. Practitioner Mr. Liu Jiangshen went to Beijing to appeal and he was taken back to the village. Liu Fating handcuffed his wife, 11-year-old child, and him in front of the police station.
His involvement in the persecution finally brought him misfortune. His wife died of illness a few years ago and he died of lung cancer this year.
