(Clearwisdom.net) Because I was raised following traditional Chinese moral standards as a child, when I became an adult I still tried to conduct myself accordingly. When I began working in a government position, I didn't act like the corrupt communist regime officials. I refused opportunities to earn big money or get promoted and kept my standards high.
When I first began learning Falun Gong, one incident led me to truly step onto the path of cultivation. Some officials came to visit, and I drove them out for some entertainment. Actually we were going to a nightclub to do some indecent things. Before we had driven very far however, a bearing in the engine broke. We had to return and change cars. But the engine failed again at exactly the same place on our way to the nightclub. I suddenly realized that I had studied Zhuan Falun and that Dafa requires that I be a good person. I realized that I shouldn't go to a nightclub for deviant entertainment. I understood that Master was giving me a hint. So I excused myself and didn't go. Afterwards, I no longer went to nightclubs. I wanted to be a good person, and I firmly resolved to practice cultivation.
As soon as I truly stepped onto the path of cultivation, I experienced many miracles. For example, I could press small nails into hard concrete walls to hang Master's photo and the Falun emblem. If I thought of going into a wall, my body immediately entered it, and as soon as my hands touched any metal objects, I felt them releasing electrical current.
After my child obtained the Fa, he also developed supernormal abilities, including mind reading, the ability of precognition and retrocognition, and clairvoyance. These things helped me become firmly resolute in my cultivation.
In the past, even though I thought my morals were high, I was actually living a fairly deviant life. As a result I developed all kinds of diseases and I had to take medicine every day. But after I began practicing Dafa, my diseases disappeared and I looked ten years younger.
In 2001, our Falun Gong informational material production site began to play a very important role. The materials we produced went to many different areas. Protected by Master and fellow practitioners' righteous thoughts, the evil dared not harm us.
At one point, however, I was reported to the police and arrested and detained. The police beat me so severely that they broke my arm. I maintained righteous thoughts, and the broken arm recovered overnight. Master later bestowed greater supernormal abilities upon me, and I was able to control evildoers and eliminate the evil factors behind them. The evildoers became frightened when they saw me. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents were pretending to be nice to me, but after I looked at them for three seconds, they began to show their true selves and dared not harm me.
The old forces arranged some physical tribulations, but I refused to go along with them. Several times I had a lot of blood in my stool and my face was extremely pale. At that time I looked so bad that whoever saw me expressed concern. But I didn't acknowledge the old forces' arrangements, and thus the principles of everyday people could not affect me. I knew that the old forces were exploiting a loophole, so I looked inward and sent more righteous thoughts. I recovered very quickly.
A non-practitioner friend of mine came by on his motorcycle one day to take me to do something. At an intersection, my left knee hit the car in front of us so hard that my pants were torn. A screw from the car gouged my knee. The driver of the car immediately realized that we had just had an accident, so he immediately drove away. I got off the motorcycle, and my friend went after the car to get the driver. I thought in my heart, “Master, please strengthen me.” My friend then called me and told me that he had found the driver and asked how I was.
I walked over. They were all very surprised to see that I was okay. I clarified the truth to them and told them that Master was protecting me, which was why I was unhurt. I also persuaded the driver to quit the CCP organizations and asked him to remember “Falun Dafa is good.”
I experienced some serious interference from the demon of lust. One woman tried very hard to tempt me into an inappropriate relationship. I knew she was being controlled by evil beings, so I used my compassion to handle the situation wisely and rationally, with the heart to save her. In the end, she admired and respected me. She said, “You Falun Gong practitioners are really great. From your behavior, I now believe (Falun Gong is good).” She learned the truth and quit the Party.
Master has given us supernormal abilities, but why do we have them? From my understanding, they are to be used to help us fulfill our missions as Dafa disciples, to assist Master in Fa-rectification and save sentient beings.
