Master said,
“Actually, when Master wants something done a certain way, it’s not simply that he thought of something and then that’s it. I have to do a tremendous amount of preparation, which you cannot see, and all of those gods work on it too. Everything has been prepared, and all that’s missing is for you to carry it out. Yet you won’t take that step.”
and
“We really do have some people who have done a great job, who have gone about things in a very natural and poised manner in upscale neighborhoods. And when they’ve spoken with people, they have been quite at ease. Instantly the other party has been delighted, just as if they’d been waiting for you. That really is the case. There has been a great deal of groundwork done in advance. All that’s missing is your carrying things out with righteous thoughts. Yet you haven’t had the righteous thoughts that it takes.” (“Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa”)
Immediately after reading this, I had a much better understanding about things.
I'm a veteran practitioner who obtained the Fa in 1996. Whenever I did something well, it was because I studied the Fa well and did things with strong righteous thoughts. In contrast, whenever I did not do well, it was because I did not study the Fa with a calm heart, and I did not have righteous thoughts. As a result, many opportunities to save people were lost.
Master Has Prepared Everything for Us
In 2005, I returned home after two years of unlawful imprisonment. One day in July, I received a phone call from a man working in the local district government. He told me to go to a certain department with my household registration booklet and my ID card, and he asked me if I would like to work. I said, “Yes.” He also told me his phone number. My wife did not want me to go because many Dafa practitioners were lured and abducted in this way.
I told my wife not to worry and went to the department with the required documents. When I got there, I clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong to the staff members. A female employee very politely asked me to sit down and tell them more about it. She listened while dealing with the paperwork. I thought I must let these public servants know the truth. The female employee gave me a bank card, on which I received back over 10,000 yuan that earlier had been docked from my salary. Later, she watched the Shen Yun DVD every year.
I then went to the human resources department to see the man who called me earlier. However, as soon as I started to talk about Falun Gong, he said, “If we arrange a job for you, we would stop your wife's allowances.” I told him that there were two popular books being widely circulated, one was Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the other was The Real Story of Jiang Zemin. I told him that right now more and more people have learned the truth and have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its associated organisations. He said, “You can go and see the head of the organization section of the neighborhood committee. If she agrees, then there is no problem.” I went to the organization section of the neighborhood committee and clarified the truth to the staff there about Falun Gong. After they learned the facts, the head person said, “You can go and talk to the party secretary.”
I went to the neighborhood committee and talked to the party secretary and two other people who were in charge of the local persecution of Falun Gong. Afterwards, the party secretary said to me, “You can go home now and wait to hear from us. We have already submitted your case to the superior administration.”
In the spring of 2006, I participated in a computer training class and started a job on June 6. I received my first salary in July, and I was also paid over 4,000 yuan in compensation. A fellow practitioner helped me get a computer and a printer with the money, and then taught me how to access the Minghui website and how to download and print materials. Thus, a materials site was established in my home.
Earlier, in 2001, I was sacked by my workplace with the excuse that I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. I was later sentenced to three years of forced labor, but I managed to get out of the labor camp 60 days later.
For over two years, from 2001 to 2003, I constantly went to my former company, the neighborhood committee, and the local police station to clarify the truth to those who participated in the persecution of Falun Gong and asked them to resume my employment. During the process, I encountered various interferences from my human attachments, and sometimes I was driven away by those I went to see. But nothing could move my heart. I acted according to Master's teachings. You persecuted me, so I will clarify the facts to you. Many people learned the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution.
I know that our revered Master has arranged everything, and all that we are required to do is clarify the truth and save sentient beings.
Distributing Shen Yun DVDs to Save Those with Predestined Relationships
The first time I watched the “2006 Chinese New Year Global Gala”, I cried. When my wife watched Shen Yun, she would watch each performance several times. When she watched the dance “The Opening of Heaven's Gates” and saw the scene where a tsunami was approaching and people were in for a fatal disaster, and just then the lord Buddha rotated the great law wheel and subdued the tsunami, she said, “Every performance of Shen Yun has deep profundity.” These few years, she watched Shen Yun every year and her attitude towards Falun Gong has undergone a fundamental change.
My mother was brainwashed by the CCP's slanderous propaganda about Falun Gong, and in the evening she would always lock her bedroom door for fear that I might kill her. In August 2007, my mother came to my house, and I played the “2007 Chinese New Year Global Gala” and “Brave Winds and Rains” for her. After watching the programs, my mother learned the truth and said, “We are not against Falun Gong; we support Falun Gong.” Two years later, I played a Shen Yun DVD for my mother. She loved it very much. Afterwards, I played the video of Master teaching the Fa in Dalian. When it came to lecture six, my mother said, “Do as your Master says. There is nothing wrong with it.” After my mother learned the facts, she quit the CCP.
Just as Master said,
“There is something very real that I've observed, however. Namely, the change that a Shen Yun performance brings about locally is enormous. So many people become clear about Dafa in one fell swoop, and they change for the better. That would be awfully hard for you to achieve under normal circumstances. And, moreover, some local people seek out Dafa as a result of the Shen Yun performance and start to cultivate. That is even something we've seen often.”

“As many as that may be, after watching the performance over ninety percent who attend have a change of attitude toward Dafa, and they become clear about what that evil Party is; the people become completely positive.” (From “Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference”)
There is a 90-year-old fellow practitioner in our area. Every year I give her a copy of Shen Yun performance. Her five daughters watch the performance every year. This year, this fellow practitioner asked me to give each one of her daughters a copy of Zhuan Falun. Now all five of her daughters are reading Zhuan Falun. More than ten people around me have also started to read Zhuan Falun after watching Shen Yun.
Shen Yun's performances have had a huge impact on people—on both their minds and bodies. During the last few years, I distributed Shen Yun DVDs every year. In the beginning, I would leave them in people's letter boxes, on their windowsills or door steps, or give them to people I knew well. After I read a sharing on the Minghui website about practitioners distributing Shen Yun DVDs to people face to face, I was deeply touched. So, from 2010 on, I started to distribute Shen Yun DVDs to people face to face. The biggest interference was my fear and anxiety. I was worried that people might refuse to accept it, that they might throw it away or damage it, and I was fearful of being reported. So I spent more time studying the Fa and reciting the Fa. By doing so, I had less and less human attachments and stronger righteous thoughts. When I was distributing Shen Yun DVDs I kept sending forth righteous thoughts. I found that people were all waiting for Shen Yun. Some people realized and said that Shen Yun was good just by looking at the cover of the DVD. Some people, after receiving Shen Yun DVDs, did Heshi to me and kept saying “Thank you!” Everyone who has watched Shen Yun loves it. Some people told me, “I have already watched it four times, and I will watch it again.” I have often sent feedback I receive from people about Shen Yun to the Minghui website for publication.
During the last few years, a group of “Shen Yun fans” has formed around me. Every year, as soon as Shen Yun DVDs became available, I gave them a copy, so they could all enjoy the beauty that Shen Yun brings to people. There was a man who had been sent to labor camps for re-education twice, and he often swore at people. After he watched Shen Yun, he became nicer and kinder. He said to me again and again, “Make sure you give me a copy of Shen Yun when you have them. After watching the performances, people have changed.” In recent years, I have given him Shen Yun DVDs and truth-clarifying materials every year. He also quit the CCP's Young Pioneers that he joined when he was young.
A detention center guard, a prison guard, and a labor camp guard happened to live in our residential neighborhood. I gave them Shen Yun DVDs every year. The prison guard believes that good will be rewarded with good and evil met with evil. His mother and daughter both quit the CCP's organizations. The labor camp guard suffered retribution for persecuting Dafa practitioners. He fell and broke his leg and had to rest for a few months to recover. I gave a Shen Yun DVD to his wife. After she learned the facts, she and their son both quit the CCP organizations. The detention center guard also participated in persecuting Falun Gong. He also suffered retribution and was sentenced to prison for over a year. After he was released, he was sacked. I told his wife, “Let him watch Shen Yun and read truth-clarifying materials. Tell him to quit the CCP organizations. He may have “a blessing in disguise”. This police guard wanted to visit the Minghui website and read the Epoch Times himself. So I gave him the software to break through the CCP's internet blockade as well as some truth-clarifying materials. His wife and daughter both quit the CCP organizations.
When I distributed the Shen Yun DVDs, I usually did not clarify the facts about Falun Gong. I just did as Master told us. I believe that all people who watch Shen Yun performances will be saved. I often distribute Shen Yun DVDs to the staff in shopping centers. There are surveillance monitors in shopping centers everywhere. At the beginning I had some fear about this. So I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate any interference. I held one thought in my heart: Dafa disciples' distribution of Shen Yun DVDs to save sentient beings is the best thing. No surveillance monitors can see me.” As long as our heart is based on the Fa, Master's fashen and righteous gods will help us and protect us.
Laying Foundations for Saving Sentient Beings
Due to my wife's health condition, I cannot go out every day, nor can I be too far from home. I read an article on the Minghui website, which encourages practitioners in mainland China to collect phone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses to provide to overseas practitioners to clarify the truth. So I started to collect such data and sent them to the Minghui website.
In the beginning, I encountered much interference, and my computer also constantly had problems. I spent hours sitting in front of the computer every day. I know that every phone number collected means that this life would have a chance to be saved.
Now, I collect phone numbers directly from the Internet, and it is much more effective. The largest interference on everyday people's websites is the content of lust and pornography. I would send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all evil elements and interference of lust. At the same time I firmly believe in what Master said,
“When I taught the Fa I told you before about all the problems that might occur during this malicious and destructive examination. It is indeed difficult for those who haven’t truly done cultivation to come through this. Now you can see why I’ve often told you to read the book more, right?! The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts.” (“Drive Out Interference” in Essentials for Further Advancement II )
I knew that the interference of lust was targeting my heart. I kept reciting the Fa and spending more time studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts to clear out my attachment to lust. Later, all those lustful things on the websites disappeared.
One night, I saw the sky was covered with phone numbers. In my dream I saw many people I did not know coming to me to quit the CCP and its associated organizations. I knew it was encouragement from Master and that many people have been saved. I switched on the computer and found that the usual symbol of a virtual drive had turned into a pink lotus flower, and it remained so for a long while.
Recently, I learned how to burn small DVDs. People like small DVDs, and I usually put them on the shelves of big supermarkets, where people are most likely to see them. At the same time, I make some small computer CDs and send them to people who have computers.
Picking Up the Pen to Validate the Fa and Expose the Evil
Master said,
“Then, as a cultivator, you should make use of all feasible conditions to spread Dafa and validate Dafa as a correct and true science, rather than preaching or idealism—this is every cultivator’s obligation. Without this enormous Buddha Fa there would be nothing—and this includes everything in the universe, from the most macroscopic to the most microscopic, as well as all of human society’s knowledge.” (“Validation” in Essentials for Further Advancement)
and
“If you are without the Goodness (Shan) that a Dafa disciple has, then you are not a cultivator. If a Dafa disciple cannot validate the Fa, then he is not a Dafa disciple.” (“On 'The Dignity of Dafa'” in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
Less than three months after I broke out of the detention center, Master published a new article, in which he said,
“Exposing the wicked policemen and bad persons and publicizing their evil deeds is extremely effective at shocking and restraining those irrational, wicked people. At the same time, by clarifying the facts to the people on a local level it most directly exposes, and generates public awareness of, the wicked persecution. It is also a great way to save the people who have been poisoned and deceived by the lies. I hope all Dafa disciples and new students in Mainland China will do this well.” (“Master's Comment on a Student's Article”)
I realised that my cultivation also included a mission to pick up the pen to expose the evil, to save sentient beings.
While I was detained, a fellow practitioner said to me, “When I get out, I will write articles about the evildoers and their conduct and post them on the Minghui website. This will greatly shock the evildoers.”
A few days later, a fellow practitioner asked me to write an article to expose the evil. At that time, I had a big fear of doing so and kept delaying it. One day, a fellow practitioner drove me to see another practitioner. On the way, he asked me to write an article to expose the evil and told me to give it to him upon completion. When I got back home, I started to write, but the feeling of fear kept coming up. Then Master's words came to my mind:
“If you are a true practitioner, our Falun will safeguard you. I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe.” (“Lecture One” in Zhuan Falun)
I knew Master was right beside me. I finished the article very quickly, and it was published on Minghui website.
Since then, I have often written articles. I also collected the cases of evildoers suffering retribution for persecuting Falun Gong and sent them to the Minghui website. I collected the details of evil policemen and sent them to Minghui with their postal addresses and the addresses of their family and relatives, so that overseas practitioners can write to them. A relative of mine works in the local prison management bureau. One day he and a section head received three letters exposing an evil female police officer. A relative of my wife is also a police officer. This has played an important role in exposing the wicked police and saving sentient beings.
There are still a large number of people who have not learned the truth. I will continue to study the Fa well and cultivate myself well so that more sentient beings can be saved.
