(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. As per this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Zhanjiu and Ms. Zhang Chunli Arrested
Mr. Yang Zhanjiu and Ms. Zhang Chunli were arrested at their homes on the morning of September 27, 2011. The police took their printers, desktop computers, laptops and other personal belongings. Mr. Yang was released at 4:00 p.m. the same day, but Ms. Zhang is still detained.
Mr. Yang was previously held in the Yushu City Detention Center in the fall of 1999, and was subjected to one year at a forced labor camp in the fall of 2000. He was arrested again in the summer of 2002 and was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment. In 2009, he was released and returned home. However, police from the Yushu City Domestic Security Division arrested him on March 5, 2010, and did not release him until several days later.
Mr. Yang’s wife Ms. Li Shuhua died as a result of severe physical abuse and mistreatment in the Yushu City Detention Center in October 2003. His mother-in-law Ms. Cui Zhanyun has been arrested numerous times.

2. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Zhaofu Arrested and His Whereabouts Still Unknown
Mr. Liu Zhaofu was arrested at his rental housing in the Jiangji Cultural Palace in Longtan District, Jilin City on September 22, 2011. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
3. [Hunan Province] Mr. Yang Shiyi Arrested Again
Mr. Yang Shiyi was released on March 9, 2011 after being detained in Wangling Prison in Hunan Province for eight years. However, Domestic Security Division officers arrested him again on the afternoon of September 26 and also ransacked his home.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Shuzhen and Mr. Leng Yongrong Arrested at Home
Mr. Leng Yongrong and Ms. Li Shuzhen were arrested at Ms. Li’s home by police from the Minyi Street Police Station on the afternoon of September 22, 2011. They are currently detained in the Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center.
5. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Guo Guanghua Arrested on the Street
Mr. Guo Guanghua was arrested on the street on September 20, 2011 and then sent to a forced labor camp.
6. [Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province] Over 30 Practitioners Including Ms. Li Fuqun Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Li Fuqun, Ms. Zhang Zhiying and Ms. Guo Quanzhen were followed and arrested by Yang Liusong, head of the Jiangyou Domestic Security Division and other officers on July 5, 2011. The police confiscated Falun Gong materials and 2,250 yuan in cash from the practitioners. Later Ms. Wu Qihui, Ms. He Deli and more than 30 practitioners were sent to the Songshan Brainwashing Center.
Although the Songshan Brainwashing Center was recently closed, seven practitioners, including Ms. Wu and Ms. Zhang were not released, but instead transferred to the Mianyang Brainwashing Center.
7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Ronghua’s Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Liu Ronghua should have been released on September 22, 2011 after being detained and tortured at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years. However, officials from the Taoyuan Street Police Station arrested her again and sent her to the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

10. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Information on the Persecution of Ms. Zhang Ge
Ms. Zhang Ge from the Gezhouba Dam area was detained twice and subjected to five years in Wuhan Women’s Prison. After she was released, she continued to inform people about the persecution of Falun Gong and was reported to the Gezhouba 610 Office. Recently 610 Office agents found her husband Mr. Li Dan and threatened him, demanding that he send Ms. Zhang to the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center, otherwise she will be sentenced.
11. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Qiumei Harassed and Forced to Leave Hometown
Ms. Hu Qiumei works at the Xiaochi Town Telecommunications Bureau in Huangmei County. On the morning of August 17, Yang Ping from the Guanggang City Domestic Security Division went to her home to harass her, but she was not there. On the morning of September 9, You Zhiyou and other police from Xiaochi Town broke into her home again. They failed to arrest her because she was out. Now Ms. Hu has had to leave her hometown in order to avoid further persecution.
Previously, in July 2003, Ms. Hu was taken by police from the Jiujiang City Domestic Security Division in Jiangxi Province and Huanggang City Domestic Security Division in Hubei Province, and was detained and abused in Huanggang City.
12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lan Qidi Arrested and Taken to Xinjin Brainwashing Center
Mr. Lan Qidi was arrested by agents from the Shahebao 610 Office in Jinjiang District when he distributed materials that clarified the truth about Falun Gong on the afternoon of September 23, 2011. He has been detained and abused in the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.
13. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Huanying Transfered to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Liu Huanying was subjected to one year in a forced labor camp by the Changle 610 Office. Changle Domestic Security Division officers secretly transferred her from the Changle Detention Center to the Wangcun Village Second Women’s Forced Labor Camp in the middle of August 2011.

14. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Additional Information on the Persecution of Ms. Nan Bingyu
Song Jiaxi and other officers from the Qiaoxi Police Department in Xingtai City broke into Ms. Nan Bingyu’s home on the evening of September 19, 2011, and arrested Ms. Nan and her daughter, Ms. Sheng Hua. The following day the Qiaodong Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Song Lihua. These practitioners’ whereabouts are currently unknown.
15. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Chaowei Subjected to One Year of Forced Labor
Mr. Wang Chaowei from Yanggu County, Shandong Province was arrested in Puyang City on July 8, 2011, and was held in the Nanle Detention Center. He was recently sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp and transferred to Xuchang City, Henan Province.
16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Ping and Another Practitioner Arrested on September 24, Ms. Wang’s Home Ransacked
17. [Chongqing] Mr. Xu Zhen Arrested and Detained
Mr. Xu Zhen disappeared on September 21, 2011. He is currently being held in the Hechuan District Detention Center.
18. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Mr. Mu Hengshun Arrested
Mr. Mu Hengshun was arrested by Domestic Security Division officers at around noon on September 26, 2011. They also ransacked his home and took his large color television. His current whereabouts are unknown.
19. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Wei Xiang and Mr. Zhang Jianping Arrested and Imprisoned
Mr. Wei Xiang and Mr. Zhang Jianping from the South Cement Company in Hangzhou City were arrested by officials from the Xihu District Police Department on November 28, 2010 and were later illegally sentenced to prison. On September 2, 2011, Mr. Wei was sent to Zhejiang Province No. 4 Prison and Mr. Zhang was sent to Zhejiang Province No. 2 Prison.

20. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Jingzhou Arrested and Taken to Fanjiatai Prison in Hubei Province
Mr. Zhang Jingzhou was sentenced to five and a half years of imprisonment by the Hongshan District Court in Wuhan City in the middle of June 2011. He was transferred from Hongshan Prison to Fanjiatai Prison in Hubei Province on August 24.
Mr. Zhang was first held in the Dongxihu District Custody in Wuhan City, and was transferred to the Dongxihu District Detention Center 15 days later. Following the orders of the Wuhan City 610 Office, the Hongshan District Procuratorate charged four practitioners: Mr. Zhang was sentenced to five and a half years of imprisonment; Ms. Liu Shehong and Mr. Ouyang Haiwen were given four years, and Mr. Peng Liang was subjected to three years in prison.
