Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Ms. Yi Xueli from Shenqiu County, Henan Province Subjected to Illegal Trial

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Ms. Yi Xueli, from Zhaodeying Township, Shenqiu County, Henan Province, were taken into custody when they clarified the truth about Falun Gong on May 1, 2011. Currently they are still being detained in the Shenqiu County Detention Center. On September 21 the authorities tried them in court and had the courthouse gate guarded by armed police to block anyone else from attending the trial.

Ms. Zhang was subjected to various forms of persecution, and her health was poor. She came in with others holding her up by her arms. Her family demanded that Lu Feng release her immediately. However, Lu shirked his responsibility, saying that Ms. Zhang was not arrested by him and asked her family to talk with the officers from the Zhouying Police Station. In fact, Lu is the main perpetrator of the two practitioners’ cases. He arrested the two practitioners in collusion with the Zhouying Police Station. He also worked with the village head to ransack the practitioners’ homes.

It has been reported that a fifth trial would be held to address the cases between September 26 and September 30.
