Looking Inward After Getting Out of Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) Some time ago, Qiuyue and I were arrested, mainly due to two reasons. First, I wasn't studying the Fa wholeheartedly. I often dozed off while studying the Fa, and sometimes the book fell out of my hands before I realized it. Superficially, I was studying Fa, but I was actually just following the form of study without knowing what Master was talking about. Secondly, my attachment to doing things was too strong, and I took clarifying the truth as just a task to finish. My compassion was not there, so how could I do things well? Moreover, I had fear.

After I was arrested, I thought about why, and was determined to go out with righteous thoughts, and become a true Dafa practitioner. In prison, I didn't listen to any orders. I refused to say anything, sign any documents, or answer any questions. I insisted on reciting the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts, and doing exercises after midnight. With Master's protection, I got out of the prison, and continued to clarify the truth.

I had many thoughts while reflecting on that period, and I would like to share them with fellow practitioners.

Eliminating the Evil by Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

After I was arrested, I kept reciting the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts, completely denying the arrangements of the old forces. Master was right beside us, and everything would be decided by Master.

One day, three officers from the Domestic Security Division came and interrogated Qiuyue. She did not answer any questions, but just watched them quietly. I sent forth righteous thoughts with fellow practitioners. My celestial eye saw three people fall into deep water. They struggled, and quickly drowned. After two hours, Qiuyue came back. She smiled and said, "The three were very rampant at the very beginning, shouting and hitting the table with their hands, pressuring me to answer their questions and give up Falun Gong. My mind was not affected. I continuously sent forth righteous thoughts, eliminating the evil behind them. In the end, the three got drowsy and quickly fell asleep. They didn't get anything from me." We didn't cooperate with the evil, kept their human sides from committing sins, and gave them a chance to be saved.

Eliminating the Interference of Sleep

In prison, I was detained with Qiuyue. On the first night, I recited the Fa while dozing off, and could not open my eyes to send forth righteous thoughts at midnight. I felt so sleepy, as if I had not slept for days. After sending forth righteous thoughts, I fell asleep, and snored thunderously. Qiuyue continued to send forth righteous thoughts, but my snoring interfered with her tranquility.

Before dawn, she woke me up, and told me sternly, "How could you fall asleep in prison? You interfered with my entering into tranquility." I said, "I was very sleepy." Once I said that, four characters came into my mind, “Viewing the elegant and the vulgar together.” Qiuyue asked what it meant, and I believed it was Master hinting to me. I said, "You sent forth righteous thoughts in high spirits, and your back was straight. When you are in meditation, your brow unfolds, and your face seems happy. Aren't these elegant conditions of a practitioner? I am wearing an anxious look, lacking righteous thoughts, being sleepy, and snoring loudly. Isn't that an image of a vulgar person?" Master hinted to me kindly and ingeniously, to help me eliminate interference, and become a divine being. All gods have their eyes fixed on us. I made up my mind to conduct myself with righteous thoughts, and not let the evil prevail. Qiuyue then told me that Master also showed her four characters: “To expand on everything.” I believed it meant to take things philosophically, eliminate ordinary people's things, and walk our paths well while denying the persecution." Whenever I had righteous thoughts and did things well, miraculous scenes appeared in front of my eyes, which appeared as mountains, water, flowers, and scaling ladders.

Worship Harms Oneself and Others

I worshiped Qiuyue. I thought she studied the Fa well, and had good enlightenment quality and righteous thoughts. I felt safe being with her. Then the evil exploited this loophole.

Several days before Chinese New Year, Qiuyue went to visit her relatives. I did the truth clarification myself, but was followed by a plainclothes police officer from the 610 Office. He caught up with me and said he would call and have others come arrest me. I thought that I should not allow him to make the call. I am a Dafa disciple who came to save sentient beings, so the evil should not persecute us. I asked Master for help and kept sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind the person. He failed to make the phone call, then asked me to wait at the village committee office. My mind was not affected, and I kept telling him the true facts about Falun Dafa. I told him about the principle of 'Good meets good, and evil meets evil," the story of the ancient writing found on a stone stating, "The Chinese Communist Party Dies," and that Falun Gong practitioners came to save people, including him.

After about half an hour, he seemed to understand something, and said suddenly, "You can go back. It is close to the New Year, and your family is waiting for you." With Master's protection, I successfully got out of danger. But what had caused the interference? I didn't think about it much. I told Qiuyue later, "If you were there I would not have encountered so many problems." I was following practitioners, not Dafa. If I kept doing this, I would run into problems again. Shortly after that, we were both arrested. The lesson was tough. Worship harmed myself and Qiuyue.

In the end, I would like to say that we should learn the Fa with our hearts, and study the Fa instead of learning from practitioners. We should eliminate human notions, and become true divine beings. I am so grateful for Master's saving me.
