Fellow practitioners, greetings!
I am a practitioner in Switzerland who has been going to a Swiss tourist spot for more than five years to distribute the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, clarify the truth, and persuade people to quit the CCP.
Master taught us that the mission of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples is to save people. In the recent Fa teaching given at the Washington, DC, Fa Conference in July 2010, Master said, "You mustn't let up in saving sentient beings, and you need to do better, and save more people, since doing this is simply critical and in fact terribly important." ("Be More Diligent")
I do feel the importance and urgency of saving people.
I realized that going to the scenic spot and clarifying the truth is not only to save people, but it is also cultivation, for me to improve my xinxing. I would like to share some of my experiences of clarifying the truth and persuading people to quit the CCP at the scenic spot.
Clarifying the truth and persuading people to quit the CCP using different methods.
1. Going with tourist groups to clarify the truth
When a tour bus comes, the tour guide usually takes the visitors to lunch, so I'd go along with them, giving them informational materials, telling them the truth about Falun Gong, and encouraging them to quit the CCP. I didn't have much time, so I had to walk fast, speak fast, and think fast. Sometimes when I talked to one person, others would come closer to listen. When one of them agreed to quit the CCP, the rest would follow. So, many times, up to ten people at a time would quit the CCP. During the tourist season I can help dozens of people quit the CCP within 3 or 4 hours. In summer I get sweaty and out of breath. Though I suffer a lot, I feel very satisfied, seeing how happy the sentient beings are after being saved. Remembering how visitors scrambled to quit the CCP after they learned the truth and seeing how my xinxing had improved, I was greatly touched. Those moments are really, really priceless.
It used to be difficult to clarify the truth and persuade them to quit the CCP. Now, it's much easier. Now many agree to quit after listening to only a few sentences. I think it is due to the grand force of Master's Fa-rectification. My work at the scenic spot for years has formed a compassionate righteous field. Just as Master said, "Buddha's light shines everywhere, propriety and righteousness harmonize everything." (Zhuan Falun)
2. Clarifying the truth and persuading a small group of people to quit the CCP.
After lunch, visitors walk around on their own and that is the best time for clarifying the truth and getting them to quit the CCP. Whenever I saw 2 or 3 visitors grouped together, I'd approach them and encourage them to quit the CCP. I had to persuade different people in different ways. For example:
Case one--Persuading police officers to quit the CCP
One day I met a man in his 40s. I said hello to him and when he heard my accent, he asked me if I came from his hometown. I said yes. He asked me which street I lived on. When I answered him, he said he happened to live on the same street. He said, "I'm the officer in charge of your street." I said, "We really have a predestined relationship. It's not that unusual to run into someone from my hometown, but to meet someone that lives on the same street is not easy at all." He said, "Yes, we really have deep predestined relations." The more we talked, the closer we became. He asked, "Can I then regard you as my 'older sister?'" I said, "Sure, but I need to be a responsible sister to you." So I began to tell him the facts, from the big flood in Jilin Province to the mudslide in Gansu Province and to the Heavens eliminating the CCP to quitting the CCP. When I asked him to quit the CCP, he said, "I believe what you said, but if I quit, I'll lose my job. How can our family get by?" I said, "It doesn't matter. Being a police officer is your job. Quitting the CCP is your personal choice. You need not report it to your supervisor. It won't influence your job. I can help you to quit right now.
"In your job, you can protect Falun Gong practitioners. If you do, you will be doing a very good deed. You will be rewarded. On the other hand, you can listen to the evil Party and continue doing bad deeds such as arresting Falun Gong practitioners, but you will get retribution. But I can see that you are not a bad person." He nodded and I listed him under the alias of "Xiang Yuan" to quit the CCP. He said, "I will listen to you."
Then he asked me, "You are a Falun Gong practitioner, aren't you?" I said I was. He said, "Please keep your voice down. I have many people with me." I said, "Don't be afraid. You do good deeds and heaven will bless you." He waved to call a lady over and he told me that she was his wife. I said, "Have her quit the CCP. Then you both will be safe." He said to his wife, "I ran into a 'big sister' from my hometown. We lived on the same street. She is encouraging us to quit the CCP. It can protect us from a big disaster. I quit already, how about you? Lets keep our family safe." His wife agreed. He said, "You can use an alias like Di Mei." I said, "How about using the name Hao Di Mei?" We helped his wife quit the CCP.
Then he went toward a group of people and I followed him. He told them to seize this chance. Then I said, "Look at the news and you see both natural and man-made disasters occurring frequently in China. The CCP will soon be eliminated by Heaven. So far over 78 million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Follow Heaven's will and quit the CCP to save yourself and protect your future. I can help you to create aliases to quit the CCP." Then I gave each of them a name. These 7 or 8 people all quit the CCP at one time!
Case two--Persuading tour guides to quit the CCP
The tour guide plays a very important role because he directly influences his patrons. So it's very important to make sure the tour guides quit the CCP first! I try to make more of an effort to talk with them when they are available. Once I saw a tour guide running back and forth. He looked unhappy. I asked him, "Are you a tour guide?" He said yes. I said, "It must be really hard for you in such hot weather." He told me anxiously that two people were missing and the bus was leaving soon. I said to him, "Don't worry. Just wipe the sweat away first. You cool down and they may come back on their own." He stopped and drank some water.
I said, "Being a tour guide is really hard work. You have to keep up with everything in your mind." He said, "Yes. Only you understand me. It's so difficult to deal with visitors these days. They will give me a hard time for any tiny dissatisfaction." I said, "Be patient. Just explain things to them. Don't lose your temper. That's not good for your health." He said, "If they all were reasonable like you, everything would be fine." I said, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner. We always follow the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and always think of others first." He nodded, "I know all Falun Gong practitioners are nice. What you said to me is very helpful. I feel much better now."
I asked him if he had ever joined the Communist Party. He said he hadn't. "Did you ever join the Youth League?" I asked. He said, "Yes, but that's useless to me." I said, "If so, just quit it. You see, more than 79 million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Now, natural and man-made disasters occur frequently inside China. Heaven is eliminating the CCP. You will be safe if you quit it. As a tour guide, safety is important to you. You have to take care of all the people in the bus. I really wish that good fortune stays with you every day." He said, "You are right." Then I used an alias of An Dao, meaning a safe guide, to help him quit the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. He said, "Thank you!"
Then another tour guide came. He asked for a copy of the Epoch Times and commented that it was a very nice paper. He said he often read it. I asked, "Have you quit?" He said, "Do you mean quit the CCP?" I said, "You read the paper often, so you should know the truth. Let me help you quit. I will give you the name of Hao Mingbai." He agreed without any hesitation.
At the site, I often meet tour guides, so I often clarify the truth to them. Many of them who have heard the facts quit the CCP and we usually become friends. Quite often when a guide sees me, he will say, "I brought a bus full of people and I'll give them to you to help them quit the CCP." Some ask me, "How are you doing (meaning how many Chinese had I helped quit the CCP)?" Some said, "I have Chinese people from the Mainland. Go and help them quit the CCP." Some tour guides said to the people on his bus, "Let me tell you, this is a foreign country. It is free here. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. There is freedom to distribute newspapers or materials. If you want, just pick up one. If you cannot take it back to China, just remember the contents."
Case three--Persuading intellectuals to quit the CCP
Once I met an intellectual man. We conversed easily. When I mentioned Falun Gong, he had a very positive view of it. When mentioning the evil CCP, he also had his opinions. When I exposed the CCP's crimes to him, he added his views and agreed. He was sensible. However, when I asked him to quit the CCP, he wouldn't. I thought it was a pity for such a good person not to quit the CCP. From then on, I often ran into him and I knew this was not a coincidence. It was arranged for me to save him. So, each time I ran into him, I would try again to persuade him to quit. But still he didn't agree. I looked inward and found I was not patient or compassionate enough. My heart of saving people was not strong enough.
I remembered Master said, "Mercy can melt heaven and earth into spring. Righteous thought can save people of the world." (Hong Yin, Volume II)
I should follow Master's teaching. I could not give up on him. As he was boarding the bus, I went to him and said, "Sir, you are leaving. You crossed thousands of miles and we met. What a deep predestined relationship we have! You joined the CCP. You have to quit it. Otherwise, how will you survive the disasters when Heaven eliminates the CCP? I urge you earnestly and kindly just because you are a nice person. It is good for you!"
He said, "I can feel that. You are so nice. Okay, I will listen to you." I said, "Then give yourself an alias." He said, "It is San Ke, meaning the Party, Youth League, and the Young Pioneers all can be withdrawn." I said, "Good! I'm happy for you."
Before he left, he said, "When I get home, I'll find the book (referring to Zhuan Falun) to read." It took five meetings with this intellectual before he finally quit.
Cultivating myself while saving sentient beings.
Sometimes I faced interference. Sometimes, people would laugh at me or insult or push or kick me. And some took pictures or shot videos right up close to me. I ignored them and tried my best to keep a calm and peaceful heart. I would just try to persuade them nicely. Master said, "as a practitioner one should not fight back when being punched or insulted." (Zhuan Falun) I follow the standard of practitioners. No grudges, no hate. I know that I came here to save people. Even if I fail to save you today, I'll try my best to tell you the truth about Falun Gong. Maybe you will have another chance.
But sometimes, the test is very hard to overcome. One day, a large man and a lady came towards me. I said hello to them and handed the flyers to them. The man said something bad and I said, "I didn't force you to take them." Then, as I turned to others, he said, "I don't want your materials. Why do you give them to me?" I said, "I talk to everyone who passes by. I was here before you came." He said, "You did talk to me, so leave." I said that I was here every day. He began to insult me. He even put up his arms as if to fight. More and more people gathered around, but I didn't talk back to him. I asked my fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts while I kept talking about how evil the CCP is and how good Dafa is. I talked about how widely Dafa has spread around the world and how millions of people receive great benefits from Dafa. Some showed their support. Someone else nodded. Someone took the truth materials to read. Later, the big guy called them to go lunch, and I realized he was the tour guide. Those who left with him came from the United States. And those who stayed came from China. They all quit the CCP after they heard the truth.
After lunch, I saw a group of people chatting, so I went to clarify the truth. One of them looked displeased and said to me, "You were insulted, but you are still talking to us." I said, "I don't care about that. I'm doing a good deed. I'm telling the truth and saving people. I'm not wrong." He closed his mouth and did not say anything else.
Visitors left for their buses. Seeing their backs as they walked away, I felt very sorry. Those who refused to listen to the truth were not saved that day. On the way home, I cried as I listened to Master's lectures. My tears would not stop. I said to Master, "How difficult it is to save people!" But on second thought, I should look inside myself. Why did this happen today? I must have some attachments to be rooted out.
In Essentials for Further Advancement, Master said,
"Forbearance is the key to improving one's xinxing. To endure with anger, grievance, or tears is the forbearance of an everyday person who is attached to his concerns. To endure completely without anger or grievance is the forbearance of a cultivator." ("What is Forbearance")
I understood that my forbearance was only on the surface. I didn't respond to his insults, but had I reached the level of "without anger or grievance"? What Master said went straight to my heart. I saw the gap I still had to overcome. My forbearance was far away from the standard Master requires. After looking inside, my sad and heavy feeling disappeared. I felt ashamed. I said to Master in my heart, "Please be assured. I can cultivate myself and save more people. Thank you for Master's merciful arrangement."
Five years have passed. While clarifying the truth and persuading people to quit the CCP on the frontlines, I was stumblingly along, experiencing both sadness and happiness. With Master and the Fa, all things can be done. I deeply understand that the "Fa brings salvation to all, 'tis Master guiding the way." ("Self-Evident is the Heart") It is Master's great compassion unlocking my wisdom, helping me to keep improving, to do better and save more people.
Between August 2009 and August 2010, I have persuaded more than 6,000 people to quit the CCP. Among them, were professors, engineers, Party committee secretaries, provincial committee secretaries, commander-level cadres, ministry directors, high-level cadres with bodyguards, police officers, 610 Office officials, etc. They all really quit from their hearts. Some of them gave me their business cards hoping to keep in contact. Sometimes, all the family members quit together. Sometimes, groups of people quit together. Sometimes, a busload of people quit all at once, one bus after another. One time a Party secretary took the lead, and after he quit, he persuaded others to quit. Seeing all of this, I understand that the sentient beings have just been waiting for this moment for millions of years. I feel so gratified that they have been saved. It also encourages me to do better and to cultivate better.
Master said, "the number of lives to be saved before the final moment arrives has not reached the amount it should". ("Be More Diligent") Master hopes we can do better. The sentient beings are expecting us to save them. I told myself to study the Fa more and better, so that I can save more people more quickly and with greater wisdom!
What I mentioned above is only my understanding at a certain level. If there's anything incorrect, please point it out and correct it mercifully.
