(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 counties or cities in 11 provinces. In this report, 26 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 30 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yan Xinpu in Critical Condition
Mr. Yan Xinpu from Mancheng County, Baoding, was arrested on the afternoon of August 13, 2010, and is being detained at the Xiao Bailou Brainwashing Center in Baoding. Due to his mistreatment, he was unable to eat for three days and is in critical condition.
2. [Shanghai] Ms. Xing Miaoxiu Arrested
Ms. Xing Miaoxiu from No. 7 Kongjiang Residential Village, Yangpu district, was arrested by police officers from Zhabei District on August 13, 2010, and her home was ransacked. Ms. Xing's whereabouts are currently unknown.
3. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Several practitioners were arrested on August 15 and 16, 2010, and each was sentenced to one year of forced labor on August 17. The female practitioners were taken to Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp and the male practitioners were taken to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp. Among the arrested were Mr. Zhuan Pengru, Ms. Zhuan Jingru, Ms. Lianlian and her husband Mr. Zhuan Ernao.
4. [Tianjin] Additional Information on Ms. Wei Yuwen
Ms. Wei Yuwen from Tianjin was taken from Zhaojiadi Detention Center in Tanggu District and transferred to a brainwashing center in Dagang on August 14, 2010.
5. [Rushan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Xiuhua Arrested
Ms. Yu Xiuhua from Rushan was arrested when she was seen talking to someone about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of August 19, 2010. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Dafa books confiscated. Ms. Yu Xiuhua was released that afternoon.
6. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dong Shuyan, Ms. Yang Shuxiang, Mr. Zhang Wei, and Ms. Xiang Shuzhi Arrested
Yang Danpei and other officers from the Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Dong Shuyan when she was printing truth clarification materials at home on the afternoon of August 20, 2010. Her computers and printers were confiscated. Ms. Yang Shuxiang and her son, Mr. Zhang Wei, who were at Ms. Dong Shuyan's home at the time, were also arrested.
Ms. Xiang Suzhi was arrested on the same day, in a separate incident. Her computer and printer were also confiscated.
7. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Yajie Arrested
Officers from Haihe Police Station arrested Ms. Wu Yajie, 50, from the Yantai Development Zone, while she was distributing truth clarification materials on the evening of August 18, 2010. Her home was ransacked the following day. She is being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in the Yantai Development Zone.

8. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhu Haishan and Mr. Yang Xin Detained
Mr. Zhu Haishan and Mr. Yang Xin from Chengfa Township in Yushu were arrested while clarifying the facts and distributing DVDs of the Shen Yun performances. They were detained for more than 20 days.
9. [Boli County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Shuhua Detained in Drug Rehabilitation Center
Ms. Gao Shuhua has been detained at the Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center since August 18, 2010.
10. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zeng Jun Detained
Ms. Zeng Jun and another practitioner from Huaibin County, Xinyang, were reported to the authorities for clarifying the truth in mid-June, 2010. They were arrested by Han Dejun and other officers from the Domestic Security Division, and were taken to the County Detention Center.
The other practitioner was released after being detained for ten days, however Ms. Zeng was transferred to Gushi Detention Center.
11. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Lanxiang Detained
Officers from Zhaoyuan 610 Office forced their way into Ms. Yang Lanxiang's home and ransacked it. They confiscated a computer, some cash, and other personal belongings. Ms. Yang was then taken away.
12. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Xinping Detained
Officers from Yishui County 610 Office and police department forced their way into Ms. Guo Xinping's home and arrested her at around 10 a.m. on August, 19, 2010. They confiscated some of her personal belongings. Ms. Guo is being held at the Yishui Detention Center.

13. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Yu Xuelun Re-arrested
Mr. Yu Xuelun from Macheng was held in Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County. When his prison term ended in August, 2010, he was not allowed to return home because he had not given up his belief in Falun Dafa. He was then sent to the provincial brainwashing center.

14. [Binxian County, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information on the Arrests of Mr. Yao Jinxian and Ms. Shi Shuzhi
Mr Yao Jinxian and Ms. Shi Shuzhi from Binxian County were arrested and sentenced to one year in Qianjin Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City on August 19, 2010.
15. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li You Tortured
Ms. Li You, 31, from Changchun, was held at the No. 2 Division, Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for refusing to give her belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Liu Lianying, head of the division, forced Ms. Li to stand in strenuous positions for long periods of time and did not allow her to wash herself. Ms. Li You was repeatedly shocked by electric batons.
16. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Miao Fengmei, Ms. Miao Fenglan, and Ms. Zhang Guixiang Arrested
Ms. Miao Fengmei, 65, Ms. Miao Fenglan, 60, and Ms. Zhang Guixiang, 49, from Benxi were arrested at the city's railway station by officers from the local police station on the morning of August 19, 2010. They were taken to the Dabailou area of the city the following day.
17. [Jiaonan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Bingyu Detained
Mr. Xu Binyu from Jiaonan was transferred to Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City on August 20, 2010, after being detained at the Jiaonan Detention Center for 15 days.
18. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Shuyun Arrested
Ms. Liu Shuyun, 51, from Nanjing was arrested by officers from Hongshan Police Station of the Xuanwu District Public Security Bureau in Nanjing on August 11, 2010. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials and other personal belongings were confiscated. She is being held at Nanjing Detention Center.
19. [Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zheng Hongxia Arrested
Ms. Zheng Hongxia, 35, was arrested by six officers from the Qinghe Police Department, Huai'an, while she was inside a shop on Northern Beijing Road, Huai'an at 10:00 a.m. on August 19, 2010. Ms. Zheng is now being held at Huai'an Detention Center.
Ms. Zheng began practicing Falun Gong in 2008. Her husband, Mr. Chen Shao, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Qingpu Police Department in 2009. He was later sentenced to three years in prison and is still being detained at Suzhou Prison.
20. [Zhengjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xue Fengzhen Arrested
Ms. Xue, 70, a resident of Taigushan, Zhengjiang, was arrested when she was distributing truth clarification materials in early August 2010. She was tortured for two years in the Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp.
21. [Chongqing City] Ms. Deng Tingmei and Ms. Zhou Xianrong Sentenced
Ms. Deng, 62, was arrested by officers from the Jiangjin District police station when she was talking to people about Falun Dafa at the Baisha supermarket on June 18, 2010. She was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Zhou Xianrong from Jiangjin District was arrested at her home by the police on February 7, 2010. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor.
22. [Jiangmen, Guangdong Province] Additional News about Mr. Chen Jianhua and Mr. Liu Binglin
Police broke into Mr. Chen Jianhua's residence, arrested him, and confiscated his Falun Dafa books and other truth clarification materials at around 7:00 p.m. on October 15, 2009.
On July 5, 2010, Mr. Chen Jianhua was sentenced to eight years and Mr. Liu Binglin was sentenced to twelve years in Yangjiang prison.
23. [Zhongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Bi, Ms. Li Xiaoling, and Ms. Xia Yuhua Held at Zhongzhou Detention Center
Ms. Zhou Bi, Ms. Li Xiaoling and Ms. Xia Yuhua were arrested by officers from the Dahua police station when they were talking to people about Falun Dafa at mid-day on August 18, 2010. They are held at the Zhongzhou Detention Center.

24. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Gong Xianghui Arrested
Mr. Gong Xianghui was arrested by Changsha police on August 1, 2010, and was detained for sixteen days. He was taken to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center on August 18, by officers from the Changsha Furong District's 610 Office, Chaoyang Street Police Station, Chaoyang Street Office, and the Renmin New Village Office. Mr. Gong is still being held at the brainwashing center and is under constant surveillance.
25. [Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Qihui, Ms. Fu Faqun, and Ms. Wang Xianping Arrested
Ms. Wu Qihui, Ms. Fu Faqun, and Ms. Wang Xianping from Jiangyou were arrested and taken to the Songhualing Brainwashing Center on August 9, 2010.
Ms. Wu Qihui's husband, Mr. Du Zhijun, was arrested by officers from the Jiangyou Domestic Security Division in September 2009, and was taken to the city's detention center. Mr. Wu was sentenced to three years of forced labor by the Jiangyou Court on August 2, 2010.
Mr. Wei Chaohai, Ms. Fu Facqun's brother-in-law, was arrested in September 2009. He was sentenced to eight years in prison by the Jiangyou Court on August 2, 2010. Mr. Wei's son, Wei Bing, was sentenced to ten years in prison.

26. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong] Additional Information on Mr. Zhu Yubiao
Mr. Zhu Yubiao, a lawyer, was arrested on the afternoon of August 18, 2010, and was detained at the Haizhu District Detention Center. His home was ransacked, and his computer and Falun Dafa books were confiscated.
Mr. Zhu graduated from Zhongshan University Law School, and his parents are professors at the university. He was previously sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor on February 9, 2007. His lawyer's license was revoked and so far has not been reinstated.

27. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Shixian and Ms. Li Tingfang Arrested
Mr. Li Shixian and Ms. Li Tingfang from Suining were arrested on August 18, 2010. Their home was ransacked and their Falun Dafa books were confiscated.
28. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Tang Haian Held in Nanhu Detention Center
Tang Haian is being held at the Nanhu Detention Center in Wuchang.
29. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Xiuhua Taken to Langfang Brainwashing Center
Officers from the Small West Section Police Station and the neighborhood committee broke into Ms.Yang Xiuhua's home in Daguan village, Langfang, and arrested her at about 10:30 p.m. on August 15, 2010. She was taken to Langfang Brainwashing Center.

30. [Hunan Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Liu Xiaoling
Liu Xiaoling, a former employee of the Lengshuijiang Steel Manufacturing Company, was arrested by officers from the Lengshuijiang City Domestic Security Division, 610 Office, and the local police in Hunan Province, on the afternoon of August 17, 2010, and detained at the local detention center. Liu Xiaoling has been held in a forced labor camp three times.

31. [Hebei Province] News of Persecution in Quyang County, Baoding City
Seventeen out of twenty three practitioners arrested in Quyang County were sentenced to forced labor. The men were taken to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp and the women were taken to Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp. Three female practitioners are still being held in the detention center, but Mr. Jiao Yuefeng, Ms. Liu Junhua and Ms. Jun Xia have been released.

32. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Dai Qihong Brutally Beaten
Mr. Dai Qihong was brutally beaten by Wang Yantao, head of the third section at the Jiamusi Prison, on August 18, 2010.
Officers from the Mudanjiang 610 Office and Domestic Security Bureau arrested Mr. Dai on March 31, 2008. He was sentenced to five years in prison. He was transferred to Jiamusi Prison on July 3, 2009.

Ms. Jin Changlin's family went to pick her up at the Suzhou Detention Center after a 15-day detention, at around 8:00 a.m. on August 16, 2010. Two policemen stopped Ms. Jin at the front gate, arrested her again and took her to the Shangfangshan Brainwashing Center.
34. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Xiugin Arrested
Ms. Wang Xiugin from Qijianfang Village, Changping District, was arrested on August 15, 2010.
35. [Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yuan Yulian, Ms. Dai Shengnu, and Ms. Jiang Chunyan Detained at Xinchang Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yuan Yulian, Ms. Dai Shengnu, and Ms. Jiang Chunyan are being detained at the Xinchang Brainwashing Center in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.
