(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Many Practitioners Arrested or Harassed
Agents from the Xiajia Town Police Station arrested several practitioners around 5 a.m. on August 30, including Ms. Sun Zhongzhi, Ms. Yu Dexia, and Ms. Wang Puyun. Ms. Wang Puyun had a two-year-old child with her. Ms. Sun Zhongzhi's husband, although not a practitioner, was also arrested. Ms. Yu Dexia was released that same day.
At the same time, five or six agents from the Yumin Police Station including Niu Chunping and Wu Haitao arrested the following practitioners: Ms. Jiang Yuzhi, Ms. Jiang Yulan, and Ms. Wang Guifang.
Heilin Security head Xuan Limin and agents from Heilin Police Station arrested Mr. Jiang Yongdong, Ms. Cong Yuhua, and Mr. Han Zhirong. Ms. Cong and Mr. Han escaped from the police station.
Agents from the Guangming Town Police Station harassed practitioners at home.
Agents from the Bahao Town Police Station harassed Mr. Li Shicheng, a 73-year-old practitioner, on August 29, 2010.

2. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wan Zhengping Arrested
Ms. Wan Zhengping, a practitioner in her 50s, lives in Kaijiang County, Dazhou City. Agents from the Yongzhen Town Police Station arrested her on August 23 in Lingyan Town, Kaijiang County. Six agents, including some from the 610 Office and from the State Security Bureau or from the Yongxing Town Police Station, ransacked her home on August 24. Ms. Wan is currently at the Kaijiang County Detention Center.
3. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Tang Peiwu and Four Others Currently in the Jinan Prison
4. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Peng Yougui, Mr. Xie Shude, and Mr. Xu Huazhong Arrested and Sent to the Banshan Brainwashing Center
Officers from Zhonghualu Police Station in Zunyi City, together with Yan'anlu Neighborhood Administration officials, went to Mr. Peng Yougui's home on August 25. They arrested him and took him to the Banshan Brainwashing Center in Zunyi City. Mr. Xie Shude and Mr. Xu Huazhong were also arrested that day and taken to the same brainwashing center.
5. [Fujian Province] Ms. Guan Yujing, a Judge with the Fujian Province Supreme Court, Sentenced to Eight Years and Transferred to the Fujian Women's Prison
6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zeng Jiageng and Other Practitioners Arrested
Agents from the Jiangnanzhongjie Police Station in Guangzhou City arrested Mr. Zeng Jiageng and Ms. Zeng Libo, Mr. Zeng Jiageng's daughter-in-law, on August 26. Those responsible first detained the practitioners in the Jiangnanzhongjie Police Station, then took them to the Nanzhou Detention Center in the Haizhu District.
Mr. Zeng is about 68 years old. He has been arrested many times and sent to a brainwashing center. His freedom was curtailed, both at home and where he worked. His home was ransacked.

7. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Yuqing and Ms. Huo Shengrong Held at the Yubaodun Brainwashing Center
Ms. Chen Yuqing, about 40 years old, was arrested one month ago and is now at the Yubaodun Brainwashing Center.
Ms. Huo Shengrong, about 40 years old, was arrested by Zhuolu Police Station agents and detained at the Yubaodun Brainwashing Center more than six days.
8. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Jixian Arrested
Mr. Zhang Jixian is a practitioner in the Xihu District, Benxi City. Officers from the Caitun Police Station in the Xihu District arrested Mr. Zhang on August 18 as he clarified the truth in the Xihu Farmers Market Hall. They took Mr. Zhang to the Caitun Police Station and interrogated him overnight. They then ransacked his home at about 1 p.m. on August 19 and extorted 200 yuan from his family. They told his family that Mr. Zhang would be detained for 15 days and sent him to the Beitai Rehabilitation Center. According to information received on August 31, Beitai Rehabilitation Center officials decided to accept Mr. Zhang.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Li Xuemei Arrested from Home by Liu Caijun and Other Domestic Security Division Agents
10. [Tianjin] Chenzui Police Station in the Wuqing District Responsible for Harassing Practitioners
Wang Lei and five others from the Chenzui Town Police Station harassed Ms. Cui Ying at home the afternoon on July 5. They took notes and videotaped. They also demanded Ms. Cui's phone number, but she refused to give it to them.

12. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Duan Baoguan Sent to a Labor Camp
Mr. Duan Baoguan is a practitioner in Guanshui Town, the Mouping District, Yantai City. He was arrested on July 20 and sentenced to labor camp a month later for a term of two years.
According to witnesses, when police officials ransacked Mr. Duan's home, they took him with them. Mr. Duan was very weak. Police confiscated a printer, computer, two cell phones, and other personal belongings.
13. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Kong Lingzhi's Home Ransacked
Four Qianjin Police Station officers in Jidong County ransacked Ms. Kong Lingzhi's home the afternoon of August 24 in her absence. They contacted Domestic Security Division officials and broke in. They confiscated a notebook computer and printer and other personal belongings. Ms. Kong decided to leave home to avoid further persecution.

14. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Wanying Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Officials in Dongluobu Town, Dingxing County, Baoding City, arrested Ms. Chen Wanying, a practitioner in her 40s, in late August. They had her admitted to Xiaocun Brainwashing Center.
15. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Xiuqi Arrested and Sent to a Labor Camp
Mr. Li Xiuqi, in his 40s, is a practitioner in Zhaogezhuang Town, Wen'an County. Several people whose identities were not known arrested him the afternoon of July 27. It is now confirmed that those who arrested Mr. Li were plainclothes police from the Domestic Security Division in Wen'an County.
Two weeks after Mr. Li was kept in Wen'an County Detention Center, Domestic Security Division officials extorted between 20,000 and 30,000 yuan from his family. Officials later sent him to Langfang Law Education Training Center (a brainwashing center).

16. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mengyang Town Officials Persecuting Practitioners
After Mengyang Town 610 Office agents arrested practitioners Ms. Xu Wanping, Ms. Liu Yongqi, and Ms. Liu Xiuhua on July 29, they went to Ms. Xu's home about 10 a.m. on July 30 and arrested her husband. They also went to Ms. Liu Xiuhua's home and arrested her husband and her son. Officials took them to the Community Administration Office. Community Administration Office Party secretary Zhuang Daojing and other officials told these practitioners' family members to burn any Dafa books when they returned home and to help persuade the practitioners to write statements giving up the practice. If the families did not cooperate, their low-income aid would be withheld.
17. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yafang and Other Practitioners Detained at the Ning'an City Detention Center
Several practitioners arrested on August 26 in Hailin City are now being held at the Ning'An City Detention Center in Heilongjiang Province. They are: Ms. Li Yangfang, Ms. Li Xiujun, Ms. Li Xiaoming, and Ms. Wang Shukun.
18. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Zhangdian District Hospital Retiree Ms. Chen Yuxiang Arrested
Ms. Chen Yuxiang, in her 50s, is retired from the Zhangdian District Hospital. Agents from the hospital's 610 Office and agents from the Xingxuejie Police Station arrested Ms. Chen at home around August 15. They confiscated personal belongings such as a computer and printer. Ms. Chen's current whereabouts are unknown.
19. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Manliang Sent to a Labor Camp
Mr. Wang Manliang was sentenced to a forced labor camp on August 27 for a term of one year and seven months. He is currently in the Handan City Labor Camp.
20. [Liuan City, Anhui Provine] Mr. Zheng Dashui Arrested
Shou County practitioner Mr. Zheng Dashui was arrested at work about 11 a.m. on August 23 by a group of unidentified individuals. His current whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Teng Yingfen Arrested
Song Shaochang and four other Zhaoyuan City 610 Office agents arrived at Ms. Teng Yingfen's home about 7 a.m. on August 31. They first picked up her college student daughter, but released her an hour later. Agents then arrested Ms. Teng and ransacked the home. They confiscated a computer and Dafa books. One neighbor who was visiting was also arrested. Ms. Teng is now in the Linglong Brainwashing Center.
