(Clearwisdom.net) Before practicing Falun Gong, I had numerous diseases for many years. In early 1998, one of my colleague showed me a copy of Zhuan Falun. I was surprised and had a feeling that I never had before. I kept reading the book day and night, and I was amazed by the profound principles of Falun Dafa.
Dafa taught me the true meaning of life, which is to return to one's origin. I realized that Dafa is really unprecedented and has mighty virtue. Since then, I have completely changed; my mind has been purified, and all my diseases have disappeared.
Dafa's miracles repeatedly manifested in front of me. I saw many Falun spinning, incomparably beautiful lotuses blinking, and I truly felt Master purifying my body and installing Falun in my body. I felt a warm current from the top of my head all the way down to my heels. I had a feeling that I was floating. I am very grateful to Master because I have witnessed his immense grace.
Strengthen Righteous Thoughts
On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime started to brutally persecute Falun Dafa. In order to seek justice for Dafa and Master, I went to Beijing and the provincial government to appeal. I was regarded by the local political and legal committee as a key figure, and I was tightly monitored 24 hours a day.
One day, the political and legal committee secretary brought five persons from the Public Security Bureau and related departments to threaten me at my place of work. Because I was then branch Party secretary, they forced me to make a choice between Dafa and my official rank. "If you insist on practicing Falun Gong, you will be fired and sentenced to three years of forced labor," I was told.
I was not moved by their threats. I said that I would rather lose everything, including my life, than lose Dafa, because Dafa had been deeply rooted in my heart. "Without Dafa I will lose the meaning of life. No matter what happens, I firmly believe in Dafa, and I will cultivate to consummation." They became silent before my firmness and they left.
At that moment, my heart was so relaxed and joyful. Dafa has given me its infinite power, and I also have a deep understanding that if my mind is based on the Fa, all the evil will disappear and dissolve.
Clarifying the truth
In the evil environment of the persecution, I closely follow the process of Master's Fa-rectification, bearing in mind the teachings of Master, assisting him in Fa-rectification and fulfilling my prehistoric vows. Despite the opposition and accusations from my family, I went out to distribute Dafa materials everywhere, posted truth-clarification banners, and wrote letters to the local police department and 610 Office. I also made phone calls to clarify the truth.
During the freezing winter in north China, I carried hundreds of informational materials and brochures. I crossed mountains and visited one village after another. I gave materials to numerous homes until my legs became numb, but I did not feel that it was a hardship, because those people had received the blessing of Dafa. When I posted banners about the truth of Falun Dafa, I saw golden flashes.
Among the people I know are secretaries, judges and managers. It is relatively difficult to persuade such people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. However, I make the effort to try different means to clarify the truth to them. Once we had a class reunion, which included judges and secretaries. During the dinner, everyone was required to do a little performance or say something. I sang the Dafa song "Waking up" and said "Falun Dafa is good" to them. I also gave them the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, the DVD of the Shen Yun performance, and truth-clarification booklets. I persuaded all of them to quit the CCP and its youth organizations.
Helping fellow practitioners to overcome adversities
There is a elderly fellow practitioner in our area who has been persecuted by the CCP and was imprisoned for six years. After he was released, he had a strong attachment to fear. Although he practiced Falun Gong, he was mistaken for a secret agent by other practitioners, as his righteous thoughts were lacking. Whoever got in touch with him would be in danger. I had the thought that this was what the old forces used to isolate fellow practitioners and prevent us from forming one body. I felt that if I did not help him, I would be helping the old forces.
By the time I approached this fellow practitioner, he was already very sad and had lost confidence in local practitioners. I took the initiative to approach him, helping him to improve xinxing and overcome adversities. I encouraged him to study the Fa diligently, saying that if he improved from the perspective of the Fa, the evil would not take advantage of him. I also suggested that he look inside for the reasons for conflicts.
Through studying the Fa diligently, this practitioner's situation improved day by day. He found his attachments and with a change in his xinxing, his environment also changed and fellow practitioners were willing to approach him again.
While I was helping this practitioner, I also improved myself. Many merits of this older fellow practitioner were worthy of learning. We encouraged each other, went out to distribute truth-clarification materials, persuaded people to quit the CCP and its organizations, and did the three things Master has asked us to do. He improved very quickly. On the path of assisting Master in Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings, we cultivate diligently.
