(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Youzhong, a practitioner from Qingshui Village, Zhugou Town, Pingdu City, Shandong Province, has been unable to return home for the past four years. This is because the police knew he practiced Falun Gong and were looking for him. He was arrested in June 2010 and his current whereabouts are unknown.
A practitioner arrested in Laixi City in the winter of 2007 had Mr. Wang's contact details with him. Officers from Laixi City Police Station and Pingdu Police Station then went to Mr. Wang's home to arrest him. Mr. Wang was away that day, and some villagers later told his wife, Ms. Wang Chunping, that the police were looking for him. The couple did not go back home. Officers went to Mr. Wang's home several times and monitored it at night. Officers even went to Mr. Wang's son's school and tried to force him to tell them where his father was. Mr. Wang's son said: "There is nothing wrong with my father practicing Falun Gong. He did not break any law. I also don't know where he is." Mr. Wang's son was a good student with excellent grades, but because he worried about his parent's safety, he could not concentrate on his studies, and his grades plummeted to the point that he had to drop out of school.
When Ms. Wang returned home in 2008, plain-clothes officers broke into their home and arrested her. They tried to force her to reveal where her husband was, but she did not cooperate with them, and they eventually released her.
Mr. Wang was arrested by officers from Laizhou City Police Station on the evening of June 9, 2010, while he was working in Laizhou City. He had been detained at a detention center for more than 40 days. A letter was then sent to the Qingshui Village Committee, stating that Mr. Wang had been sent to a forced labor camp for two years. There was no sender's address on the letter, no details of which labor camp he was sent to, and no authorized signature. Mr. Wang's family had to go to the various police stations to try to find out where he was, but the people handling his case refused to meet with them. They were given a phone number to call, but nobody answered the phone. When Mr. Wang's family went to the detention center to find him, they were told that he was no longer there and had been taken away. Mr. Wang's family requested a visit, but were refused by the police.
So far, Mr. Wang's family does not have any information on his whereabouts.
