(Clearwisdom.net) Police officers broke into the home of Mr. Wei Yuwen, 69, from Tanggu District, Tianjin on the morning of July 30, 2010, and illegally arrested him. He was taken to the Hangzhoudao Police Station, interrogated, and on the same afternoon, transferred to the Zhaojiadi Detention Center, where he is still being detained.
The officers involved in the arrest included four agents headed by Han Yong and Yu Xinhua from the Tanggu District 610 Office and Domestic Security Division, and four police officers headed by Yang Cheng from the Hangzhoudao Police Station. They presented a warrant for home search, and confiscated Mr. Wei's son's computer, two printers, Falun Gong books and informational materials, an MP3 player, and other personal property. They also demanded that Mr. Wei's family sign their "administrative detention" document.
When the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, police officers from the Political and Security Section detained Mr. Wei at the Tianjin Brainwashing Center for over a month.
In early 2001, four to five days prior to the Chinese New Year, Tanggu District Deputy Party Secretary Rong Jianxun, Political and Judiciary Committee Head Feng Songying, and others, released all the drug addicts held in the Tanggu Drug Rehabilitation Center to celebrate the Chinese New Year with their families, but incarcerated more than a hundred practitioners, including Mr. Wei, in the same center, in an attempt to brainwash them. Three months later, the practitioners who remained steadfast in their belief were illegally subjected to forced labor terms. Mr. Wei was taken to the Jianxin Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin in April 2001, and was detained there for two and a half years. He was released in August 2003.
