(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Fan Zhongxin is forty-three years old. She is a hairdresser from Chengguan town of Dongguang county in Hebei Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in October of 1997. However, because of her belief, she has been abducted and detained four times by the authorities. She has had 8,500 yuan extorted from her by police from the local government security division.
On July 20 of 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime launched the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa. Ms. Fan Zhongxin went to appeal in Beijing. When she returned, she had 500yuan extorted from her by the security division of Dongguang County Public Security Bureau.
In February of 2000, Fan Zhongxin and other practitioners once again went to appeal in Beijing. She was taken back to the local detention center by Jiang Wanzhi, the former director of the security division of Dongguang county Public Security Bureau and policeman Guo Rui. Prison policewoman Li Guoying found Ms Fan reading the book Zhuan Falun and snatched it away. When Fan Zhongxin tried to get her book back, Li Guiying punched her. Fan Zhongxin was detained for forty days and was released only after her family paid 5,000 yuan.
In July of 2000, the CCP feared that Falun Gong practitioners would go to Beijing to appeal. Many policemen broke into Fan Zhongxin's home and searched her house. They took away the book Zhuan Falun. The police detained her for fifteen days under the charge of "disturbing social order."
At around 3 p.m. one day in January of 2001, policemen Guo Rui, Wu Bin and others seized Fan Zhongxin and detained her at the Chengqu police office. In extremely cold weather with the temperature of minus 10 degrees, the police forcefully took off practitioners' coats. Fan Zhongxin was hung up high on a bar in the yard for 24 hours. Consequently, both her hands lost feeling. After she was released, she left home to avoid further persecution for more than two months.
November 1, 2002 was one of the sensitive dates for the Chinese Communist Party. Cheng Guijun and Dong Jianmin went to Fan Zhongxin's hair salon for haircuts. Suddenly policemen Gong Jingwen, Guo Rui and others showed up and and took the three of them away by force. They were taken to Dongguang transportation police division. They were locked up in separate rooms and tied to a big iron chair with their arms handcuffed to each side of the chair. They were watched by four or five people. They were not allowed to close their eyes, sleep or wash themselves. The police would beat whoever closed their eyes. The three practitioners were tortured for five days. On the fifth night, Gong Jingwen and Guo Rui transferred them to Dongguang detention center. Fan Zhongxin was detained for twenty-three days and was only released after her family paid 3,000 yuan. Cheng Guijun was sentenced to two years in prison. Her family was devastated. Dong Jianmin was tortured for forty-nine days and was released after her family paid 2,000 yuan.
The persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners has been going for eleven years and the torture is still happening. Hundreds and thousands of practitioners are still imprisoned in labor camps and prisons all over the country.
