(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Xiuying Tortured in Liaoning Provincial Woman's Prison
Ms. Wei Xiuying, 63, detained in the Elderly and Disabled Team of the 11th Area in Liaoning Provincial Woman's Prison, has been brutally tortured. She has become paralytic and emaciated. She can no longer work and her voice is expressionless. The prison charged her 60 yuan for "living expenses." Her family recently visited her in the prison. The guards were rude and hostile.
Ms. Wei was sentenced to a seven-year prison term in 2009 and has been detained at Liaoning Provincial Woman's Prison since then.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhen Yongshen Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
Ms. Zhen Yongshen from the Yubei Area of Chongqing was arrested by police officers on the evening of June 18, 2010. They ransacked her home. She was taken to Shuanglong Police Station in the Yubei Area and transferred to the Yubei Area Detention Center the following day. Four days later she was given two years of forced labor. Ms. Zhen is now in Shabo Woman's Forced Labor Camp, Chongqing.
3. [Jingmen, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Xiaoyang Arrested
Ms. Lu Xiaoyang is from Jingxiang in Jingmen. At around 10 a.m. on July 15, 2010, officers from the East District of Dayukou Police Station arrested her.

4. [Shanghai] The 610 Office Arrested Ms. Wang Qiuying from the Putuo District in the Middle of June, 2010
5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tang Xuhong Transferred to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center at Wuhan City
On the evening of April 28, the police arrested Ms. Tang Xuhong from Wuhan City and took her to the Wuhan City First Detention Center. One month later, she was transferred to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City.
6. [Panzhaihua City, Sichuan Province] Domestic Security Team Arrested Ms. Yi Shixiang
On July 5, 2010, the Domestic Security Team arrested Ms. Yi Shixiang from Leiwo Village, Miyi County, Panzhihua City, and took her to the Miyi Detention Center. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Dafa books and a portrait of the founder of Falun Dafa.
7. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Update on Ms. Zhang Xiaofang and Mr. Wei Zhiyi
In November 2008, Ms. Zhang Xiaofang was arrested and admitted to Masanjia Woman's Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang. Ms. Zhang didn't cooperate when the guards demanded she answer questions on a written test. Policewoman Huang Haiyan beat her. In June and July 2009, Ms. Zhang was transferred to an ordinary prisoners' team and was forced to sew dresses.
Mr. Wei Zhiyi from Anshan City was sentenced to a 20-year prison term by the Qianshan District Court of Anshan City, because he tapped into the TV cable to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. He was first detained in Wuafangdian Prison and then transferred to Dabei Prison in Shenyang. Right before the Chinese New Year 2010, his family went to visit him in Dabei Prison. The guard ordered Mr. Wei to wear a badge with the prison's name on it, but Mr. Wei refused, so the guard prohibited his family from visiting him.
8. [Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province] Update on Mr. Wei Zeyou and Ms. Xie Zaiying
Mr. Wei Zeyou, 65, is the former president of Dantu Bank in Zhenjiang City. On July 14, 2001, when he distributed truth clarification materials, officers from the Shangdang Police Station arrested him. Mr. Wei's wife, Ms. Xie Zaiying, in her 60s, is a bank accountant in Zhenjiang. Ms. Xie was arrested by police from the Xilu Police Station the same day. The police ransacked the family's home that night.

9. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Su Zhiming Arrested
On the afternoon of July 17, 2010, when Mr. Su Zhiming was working at the Railroad Storage of the Grain and Food Bureau in Dazhou City, several police officers arrested him and took him to the Dazhou City Brainwashing Center.
10. [Chongqing City] Mr. Zou Yu Taken to Jinyunshan Brainwashing Center
Mr. Zou Yu is an employee of the Power Plant of Tongnan County Power Co. On the morning of July 15, 2010, director of Politics and Law Committee of Tongnan County Zhou Ke and others arrested Mr. Zou at his workplace. Mr. Zou is now in the Jinyunshan Brainwashing Center.

11. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xie Huiliang Taken to Sanshui Brainwashing Center in Guangdong Province.
12. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ying Arrested
Officers from the Xinanmeng Police Station in Zhongxinbu arrested Ms. Wang Ying from Anshan City in Wulanhaote, Inner Mongolia. Ms. Wang is now in a local detention center.
13. [Cao County, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Guodong and Other Practitioners Arrested
On July 14, the Cao County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division of the Public Security Bureau arrested Mr. Sun Guodong, Mr. Zhao Wenxing, and four more practitioners. The practitioners' homes were ransacked. All of them are being held in the Cao County Detention Center.
14. [Chongqing] Additional Information about Ms. Tang Tianzhen's Arrest at Guangan
On July 6, 2010, Ms. Tang Tianzhen went to visit a relative. On her way home, she talked to people about Falun Gong at a bus stop on Beicang Road. She was reported and arrested by officers from the Beicang Road Police Station in Guangan. Ms. Tang was detained at the Guangan District Detention Center.

15. [Jianyang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Rongzhen and Ms. Wu Bangrong Arrested
On July 6, 2010, police officers arrested practitioner Ms. Zhou Rongzhen at her home and took her to the Erehu Brainwashing Center in Ziyang.
At around 11 a.m. on July 15, 2010, Ms. Wu Bangrong from Xianyang was talking to people about Falun Gong under a bridge on Beitie Road. Patrol police officers collaborated with the 610 Office and arrested her. They confiscated all the Falun Gong materials she carried on her. The police handcuffed her behind her back and forced her into a police car. Ms. Wu's whereabouts are unknown.
At around 1 p.m., the police ransacked Ms. Wu's home and confiscated Dafa books, a computer, printer, and many more personal items.
16. [Beijing] Practitioners Ms. Le Xiuwen and Mr. Liu Xigong Sentenced
Early July 2010, Haidian Court in Beijing sentenced Beijing practitioners Ms. Le Xiuwen and Mr. Liu Xigong to a four-and-a-half-year prison term each.
17. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wo Saying Arrested
Ms. Wo Saying is a teacher in the Chengdu Information Engineering Institution. At the end of June 2010, officers from the Shanghai National Security, Shanghai Police Bureau, Chengdu National Security and Chengdu Police Bureau arrested her at work. They confiscated her computer and other personal items. Ms. Wo is being detained in Shanghai.
18. [Gaoyi County, Hebei Province] Police and 610 Office Arrest Ms. Pin Xiufen and Her Grandson, Who Is Not Yet Three
On the morning of July 16, 2010, Niu Shengkui, the head of the Political Security Division of the Gaoyi County Public Security Bureau, and Wu Junke, director of the 610 Office, went to the home of Ms. Pin Xiufeng. They arrested her and her grandson, who is under three years old. They also confiscated a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, Dafa books, and personal items. After that, they left some people outside Ms. Pin's home to wait for Ms. Pin's son and daughter-in-law to return.

19. [Tonghua County, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Xiurong and Ms. Jin Taixian Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
After one month in Tonghua County Detention Center, Ms. Song Xiurong and Ms. Jin Taixian were taken to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun. Ms. Song was sentenced to two years and Ms. Jin to 19 months of forced labor.
20. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bai Caiping Arrested
On July 15, 2010, Ms. Bai Caiping from Shijiazhuang visited an unnamed practitioner at the Taihang Machinery Factory. When Ms. Bai arrived at the door of the practitioner's home, she witnessed police officers from Ningan Road Police Station ransacking the place. Ms. Bai was also arrested and detained at an administrative detention center in Nanhuochang, Shijiazhuang City.
21. [Huludao, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Yulan and Mr. Ruan Qinghuan Arrested
Around 9 p.m. on July 7, 2010, Ms. Xu Yulan and Mr. Ruan Qingcan and the elderly Ms. Tang from the Nanpiao District of Huludao City were arrested by plainclothes police when the three practitioners were talking to people about Falun Gong in a market at Shenjiatai Town, Linghai City.
Ms. Tang was released, but Ms. Xu and Mr. Ruan are being heled at Nanqiao Detention Center of Jinzhou City.
