(Clearwisdom.net) I have just graduated from school. I never realized before that the government would fabricate lies. Therefore, I never doubted the negative propaganda about Falun Gong on TV, in the media and in our school textbooks. I also had no concept of what Falun Gong really is. However, through a recent incident, I have learned more about Falun Gong and how great it is.
On July 2 around noon, as usual, I was in a hurry to get to work. In my haste, I knocked into a lady riding a motorcycle heading in the same direction. She suffered a head injury and was bleeding profusely. There was blood on her clothes and shoes. I was shaken by the accident and my mind drew a blank. I quickly helped her up. I could see that she appeared much calmer than me and kept assuring me that she was fine. However, I insisted on taking her to the hospital.
At the hospital, the doctor had just finished his shift and was about to leave. He simply bandaged her wound and prepared the necessary documents for a CT scan and other medical tests. I paid the necessary fees and we waited for the next shift to finish the work and conduct further examinations.
While waiting in the reception area, a 40-year-old lady came in. We heard that she was hit by a car, but her arm looked all right. There were no scratches and it wasn't swollen. She was going to undergo various medical tests in the afternoon and made it clear that she intended to seek compensation from the driver. I was very worried that the lady I had run into would also make me pay for the accident. I thought, "There goes the money I've earned with my last six months of hard work. What could be worse, though, is if even that isn't enough!"
Contrary to my expectations, the lady didn't ask me for a single cent. Not only that, she even got an acquaintance to return the 400 yuan medical fees that I had paid. She said, "This sum of money did not come to you easily. I am all right."
The doctor said that she had a wound on her head and needed to take antibiotics as well as an anti-tetanus injection. The lady said she did not need any of these treatments. Finally, the doctor had no choice but to have her sign a document stating that she would bear the responsibility of not receiving any medical treatment and then she left the hospital.
However, I was afraid that her wound might become infected. I kept persuading her to buy some medication or take an injection. She turned down all of my suggestions. The next day, I bought some delicious food and visited her. She asked me to take back my gifts and told me it was not necessary to bring her anything. I could see that she was different from other people because her behavior was very different from others.
When I went to visit her on the third day, she had removed the bandage from her head. A few days later, her wound had completely healed without leaving a scar and the bruises on her arm had healed too.
Throughout the whole incident, the lady told me she was a Falun Gong practitioner. Everything she did was in accordance to the teachings of Master Li Hongzhi. Falun Gong has taught her to be a good person and to put others before herself. She truly did this.
Her words and actions have cleared the doubts I had in my mind. I began to realize that acting according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is such a good thing. I also discovered the beauty of Falun Gong. I intend to learn more about Falun Gong. Perhaps this will become a turning point in my life.
