(Clearwisdom.net) In 2007, I was illegally imprisoned at the Number Two Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province because I practice Falun Gong. Nana, a woman in her twenties, from Heze City, Shandong Province, was my cellmate. She had been arrested for stealing, had never worked before and didn't even know how to. Nana cried often because the police pushed her around. She couldn't sleep or eat well, and even thought about taking her own her life.
Once she asked me, "Why are you here?" I said, "Because I practice Falun Dafa." She said, "The guards told me to watch you practitioners secretly, report it when you do exercises or recite your Teacher's articles, and not to talk to you. If I follow these orders, I don't have to do hard labor and also my prison term will be reduced. I have been here for three months, and see that you are not like what they said. They were very brutal when torturing you, but you are still very kind to them. I am much younger, but even I don't want to live here for a single day. Yet most of you have been here for years! How can you bear staying here for so long? Is it because you cultivate Falun Dafa?"
Then I told her more about Falun Dafa, and that it not only is very effective in healing illnesses and keeping one's body fit, but it also opens people's minds, makes people kind and happy, and helps people to find the real meaning of life. I also told her that it is good for her to say "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good." She said, "Thank you, now I understand."
Other practitioners also taught her poems from Hong Yin and songs composed by practitioners. Some others told her that goodness begets goodness and that evil will be punished. They also taught her to be a good person. Since that time, she was able to do the work required of her, no longer felt tired, and didn't cry anymore. Nana had changed into a different person.
Seeing the big changes in her, the guards asked her if she also practiced Falun Gong. She replied, "Being here in this forced labor camp has ended up doing great good for me. I have been able to meet so many kind people and learned that Falun Dafa is good and how to be a good person." Just for saying this, the guards beat her brutally. She told us, "When I get out, I will tell everyone that Falun Gong practitioners are all good people, but the Chinese Communist Party put them into forced labor camps to brutally torture them. I will tell the truth to all the people when I get out."
At the end of her sentence, she walked out of the forced labor camp and called out, "Falun Gong is good!"
