(Clearwisdom.net) In early November 2008, Xu Qiuxiang, Deputy Director of the Da'an City Police Department, Jilin Province had an accident in which his car flipped over into a roadside ditch. Xu suffered spinal fractures, and an eight-inch steel plate had to be inserted in his back. He was almost paralyzed. He had risen all the way up from a traffic policeman to the Police Department Deputy Director. Thus, he had been driving a vehicle for many years, so why did he have a car accident at this time?
As Deputy Director of the Da'an City Police Department from 1999 to 2003, fifty-seven year old Xu Qiuxiang followed the city Communist Party leaders to intensively persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Xu directly directed or participated in at least 200 arrests of Falun Gong practitioners. In the process, more than 50 people were put into forced labor camps, and 6 were illegally sentenced to up to thirteen year prison terms. Under his direct order, policeman Chen Yamin from the National Security Team and the 610 Office brutally beat Falun Gong practitioners. Xu is also primarily responsible for practitioner Jiang Shulan's death due to torture.
