(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual Independence Day Parade in Miraflores, a suburb of the capital city of Lima, on July 18, 2010.

It was the 23rd annual Independence Day Parade in Lima since the first one sponsored by Asian Supermarket Wong in 1987. Fifty thousand people watched the three-kilometer-long parade from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It was also broadcast live by all TV stations.
The Falun Gong procession became the focus of attention. Three practitioners in traditional Chinese golden costumes headed the procession with colorful flags and banners. Six others held banners stating "Falun Dafa Is Great" "Falun Dafa in Peru" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Twelve ladies dressed in ancient costumes danced to beautiful music with fans in hand. The float was decorated with beautiful lotus flowers.
Four children demonstrated the meditation and four adults demonstrated the standing exercises on the float. The parade spectators were impressed with their beautiful exercise movements and colorful costumes. The message "the world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" has reached people's hearts.
The parade organizers highly praised the Falun Dafa procession and invited practitioners to next year's parade.
