Mr. Yan Guisheng from Kunming City Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yan Guisheng, 38, from the Jinquan residential area of Kunming City, was reported to the police on June 24, 2010, for clarifying the facts about the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong at Yueyatan Park. Mr. Yan was illegally arrested by officers from the Yueyatan Police Station of Wuhua District, Kunming City, on the same day. His home was also ransacked.
Mr. Yan's family was not informed of his arrest until June 28. When his sister and two brothers arrived at the Yueyatan Police Station on June 30 to request his release, officer Feng Bo told them that police possessed evidence against Mr. Yan, but could not disclose what it was.
Feng also informed the siblings that Mr. Yan was being detained at the Wuhua Detention Center. When Mr. Yan's family went to the Wuhua Detention Center, however, they were told that there was no one named Yan Guisheng detained there. Mr. Yan's whereabouts are currently unknown.
Mr. Yan had previously been imprisoned for three years for explaining the facts about Falun Gong.
