(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gao Suying from Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, has been detained at the Shanxi Women's Forced Labor Camp for over two years. She has suffered brutal torture, monitoring, and verbal abuse at the labor camp. Her term has been extended twice for a total duration of six months, and she has also been denied her legal rights to mail letters and make phone calls to her son. Her current appeal letter to the Procuratorate is being held by guard Chen Huiru. Below is a partial account of the persecution she has suffered at the Shanxi Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Guards Chen Huiru and Chen Chunxiang from the No. 2 Brigade have been directly responsible for persecuting Ms. Gao. They have physically assaulted her and incited inmates to beat her and testify against her in support of extending her prison term.

Chen Huiru came to Ms. Gao's cell with over 10 inmates at around 2:00 a.m. on October 9, 2009, and confiscated her appeal letters and law books. When Ms. Gao requested for her letters to be returned, Chen Huiru pinched her mouth and face, stomped on her feet, kicked her legs and then ordered the inmates to beat her. The inmates pulled her hair, hit her head and held her down on the bed while viciously hitting her. Afterward, Chen Huiru ordered these inmates to write a statement saying that they had witnessed Ms. Gao hitting people. As a result of this false accusation, Ms. Gao's term was extended by three months on October 28, 2009.

Ms. Gao was subjected to torture three times between October 28 and November 12, 2009. Following the torture, she could not remain standing and fell to the ground, her mouth was full of blood, and her teeth became loose. Chen Huiru also didn't allow her to write an appeal letter documenting the persecution until the last day of the 15-day appeal period. When Ms. Gao was about to put the letter in the Procuratorate's mailbox at the entrance of the labor camp's dining hall, Chen Chunxiang ordered four or five inmates to stop her. The inmates pushed Ms. Gao down to the ground, causing her forehead to hit the floor, and viciously hit and kicked her in front of 300-400 other inmates.

On December 5, 2009, after being tortured many times, Ms. Gao suffered a seizure, lost control of her bowels and then lost consciousness in the restroom. Chen Huiru and Chen Chunxiang forced her to pay 210 yuan in cash prior to taking her for a brain CT scan. As the scan showed no abnormality, Ms. Gao was then sent to perform hard labor prior to being fully recovered. As a result, she repeatedly felt dizzy and developed high blood pressure.

Ms. Gao's health deteriorated further after she was again brutally tortured between February 11 and March 4, 2010. She felt dizzy and couldn't stand steadily, vomited, and had a headache, abnormal heart palpitations, a pale complexion, and hypertensive blood pressure of 170/100 mmHg.
