(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in eight cities or counties in five provinces. As per this report, two practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Chongqing] Circumstances of Ms. Feng Angui, Mr. Li Zongyue and Ms. Hu Chaoxiu
Ms. Feng Angui, her husband Mr. Li Zongyue, and Ms. Hu Chaoxiu from Qijiang County were arrested on May 10, 2010. Participating in the arrest were officers from the local domestic security division and the local street office, as well as personnel from the community. The three practitioners were taken to Qijiang County Detention Center. Ms. Hu and Mr. Li returned home in June, but Ms. Feng is still in the Qijiang County Detention Center.

2. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Korean practitioner Ms. Li Shunji, 56, and Ms. Tao Xiuzhi, 54, from Shiyan Town were arrested around 11:00 a.m. on June 19, 2010, as they spoke with people about Falun Gong in Xinhua Street. Officers from the Xinhua Frontier Police Station made the arrests. Ms. Tao Xiuzhi called her older sister, Ms. Tao Xiulan, 56 on her cell phone and told her about their arrests.
When Ms. Tao Xiulan and Ms. Chi Suqin arrived in the police station around 4:00 p.m. that same day to demand the release of the two practitioners, the police took the four practitioners to Anshan Detention Center.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Lin Arrested
Ms. Zhang Lin, an employee of the Office of Academic Affairs at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, was arrested on her way to work on January 19, 2010. Officers from the Haidian Police Station followed her and made the arrest.
4. [Xinyang, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Incarcerated in a Brainwashing Facility
Mr. Gongcheng, Mr. Wang Rui, Mr. Wu Bo, and another practitioner were arrested on June 10, 2010. They are in the Xinyang City Brainwashing Center. Mr. Gong and Mr. Wang are holding a persecution protest hunger strike.
5. [Wuchang, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Jinsong Held in Custody
Mr. Wang Jinsong was arrested on June 14, 2010. He is now in the Erzhigou Detention Center in Wuhan City.

6. [Hengyang, Hunan Province] Follow-up Report on the Arrests of Ms. Liu Jinlian and Other Practitioners
Ms. Liu Jinlian, Ms. Li Qi, and Ms. Liu Chunyu from the Zhuhui District were each arrested at home at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. on June 15, 2010. Officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Hengyang Railway Police Department made the arrests. The police confiscated three computers and CDs from Ms. Liu's home.

7. [Shixing County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Zuying and Ms. Liu Shunluan Held in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Zuying, 46, lives in Gankeng Village, Chengjiang Town. Agents from the Shixing County 610 Office arrested her at home on April 27, 2010, and took her straight to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Zhang was once arrested in 2005. Shixing County 610 Office agent Xie Shengping and others had made the arrest and took her to Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, where she was held for two years.
Ms. Liu Shunluan, in her 60s, lives in Xietan Village, Taiping Town. She was arrested at home in June 2009 and held in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. She was arrested because Shixing County 610 Office agents found out that she had distributed Shen Yun DVDs. Ms. Liu was previously arrested in 2005 for handing out information about Falun Gong. 610 Office agents made the arrest and had sent her to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, where she was held for more than six months.
8. [Gongzhuling, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Yuke Held a Hunger Strike in Prison
Mr. Zhang Yuke, 64, from Lalatun Village, Huaide Town, is now in Division 6 of Jilin Prison. He began a huger strike on June 9, 2010, and is still not eating. He was force-fed on June 12. Mr. Zhang declared that he is not a criminal and demanded his unconditional release.
