(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, nine practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Ruifen and Ms. Zhang Lianmin Persecuted
On the evening of May 12, 2010, Ms. Zhang Ruifen and Ms. Zhang Lianmin were arrested by local police while they were posting Falun Gong materials in Liuzhuang. They were detained at the Liuzhuang Police Station for more than ten hours and then transferred to the Domestic Security Division. The officers extorted 20,000 yuan from their families. They were released on the night of May 13, 2010. The police also confiscated a computer and two printers from their homes.
2. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Shuqin and Other Practitioners Arrested
On the afternoon of June 6, 2010, Ms. Li Shuqin, Ms. Zhang Yanzhu and Ms. Hou Yuxiang from Zhonggangjie were arrested by officers from the Wulin Police Station, of the Jiaohe Police Department, at the same time. Their homes were also ransacked.
3. [Wangqing County, Jilin Province] A Falun Gong Materials Production Site Destroyed
On the night of June 5, 2010, local police broke into a Falun Gong materials production site in Wangqing County and took all the equipment there, including two laser printers, two inkjet printers, a desktop computer, a digital camera, a portable hard drive, a large paper cutter and other consumables. The equipment is valued at about 20,000 yuan.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zang Hongyan and Ms. Huang Detained in the Weizigou Detention Center
On June 2, 2010, Ms. Zang Hongyan and Ms. Huang were reported to police in the Changchun High and New Economy Developing District. The two practitioners were arrested by local police.
Ms. Zang was released on the night of June 8, 2010. Ms. Huang is still being detained in the Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun City.
5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Shulan and Other Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Gao Shulan and other practitioners were reported to police on the afternoon of June 7, 2010, while they were talking about Falun Gong near the People's Park. Officers from Dongfeng Police Station and Zhanqian Police Department took the practitioners to the Yingkou Detention Center.
6. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shuying Arrested
On May 27, 2010, Ms. Zhang Shuying was arrested by officers from the Nanyang Police Station in Fushun City while distributing DVDs about Falun Gong. The police also ransacked her home. She was detained in the Nangou Detention Center.
7. [Fuchun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Liping Persecuted
After being detained for one month, Ms. Lu Liping was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. She is currently being detained at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Shi Moxiang Arrested
Mr. Shi Moxiang is enrolled at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in Dalian City. On June 10, 2010, he was arrested while in class. His current whereabouts are unknown.
9. [Zhengzhou City, Henen Province] Ms. Wang Haiju Arrested
At noon on June 9, 2010, Ms. Wang Haiju was arrested by officers from the Shakoulu Police Station in Jinshui District. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
10. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Yutan and Ms. Tan Lijuan Persecuted
Mr. Liu Yutan and his wife Ms. Tan Lijuan, from Donggao Village, Longkou City, were arrested on June 2, 2010, while they were distributing Falun Gong materials in Fushan District, Yantai City. They are now being detained in the Zhangjiagou Detention Center in Longkou City.
11. [Shanghai City] Ms. Zhang Ying Sentenced to Two Years and Six Months in Prison by the Changning District Court on the Afternoon of June 4, 2010

12. [Pingdu, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Zhenshan Arrested
On the afternoon of June 9, 2010, Ms. Li Zhenshan, 50, was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Pantao Police Station while she was talking to people about Falun Gong.
13. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Diao Chunhua and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Diao Chunhua, Ms. Chu Shaoqin and Ms. Zhang Yu from Hutian District, Zibo City were taken to a detention center on the night of May 29, 2010.
14. [Hebei Province] Mr. Dong Weimin, a Senior Student of the Hebei Agriculture University, Detained at Baoding Forced Labor Camp

15. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Lijun Persecuted
Ms. Meng Lijun was illegally sentenced to ten years in prison in 2005. She has been detained in the Shandong Provincial Prison. On May 28, 2010, her family went to visit her. They were informed that Ms. Meng had hysteromyoma and bled a lot. She was transferred to the First Division of the Jinan Police Officer Hospital. Her face was very pale and swollen.
16. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Liu Yong Arrested by the Tiaoyuan Police Station
Mr. Liu Yong was taken away from his home by officers from the Tiaoyuan Police Station at 11:00 p.m. on June 9, 2010.
17. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Mr. Qin Guifu Taken Away from His Home
At 4:00 p.m. on June 9, 2010, officers from the Chengde Politics and Law Committee of Hebei Province and the Chengde 610 Office broke into Mr. Qin Guifu's home and took him away. His whereabouts are unknown.
18. [Hunan Province] Mr. Li Zhigang Detained
Mr. Li Zhigang is a former PhD student at the National University of Defense Technology in Hunan Province. On April 17, 2010, he was arrested by local police while distributing Shen Yun DVDs. He is currently being detained at the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City, Hunan Province. His family is not allowed to visit him and details of his situation are unknown.
19. [Huaying City, Sichuan Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhong, who in her thirties, has her own business in Huanying City. She was arrested on June 7, 2010, and is currently being detained in the Huaying Detention Center.

20. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zhang Lizhong Arrested
Seven or eight Xinjiang police officers, who conspired with local persecutors, broke into Mr. Zhang Lizhong's office and arrest him at 9:00 a.m. on June 10, 2010. They also took two cell phones, a laptop computer, and all his DVDs.
21. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Additional Information about Arrest of Mr. Zhou Yubao
On May 26, 2010, Mr. Zhou Yubao was arrested by officers from the Mazu Town Police Station while he talked to people about Falun Gong in Mazu Town. On the morning of June 10, 2010, he was taken to the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City.
22. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Xianzhi Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Officers from the Wuling Town Police Station in Dingcheng District, Changde City deceived Ms. Yang Xianzhi into attending what they claimed would be a local Linjiang Neighborhood Committee meeting at 10:00 a.m. on June 10, 2010, and instead took her to the Changde Brainwashing Center.
23. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] High School Teacher Ms. Li Xin Taken to the Detention Center
Ms. Li Xin is an English teacher at Panzhihua Ninth High School in Sichuan Province. In early May 2010, leaders of the high school framed her and had her arrested. She is currently being detained in the Wanyaoshu Detention Center in Panzhihua City.
